Just one of the 4 SEASONS in Malaysia.
Very DRY, Very HOT, Very RAINY, Very HAZY. Floods is just one of the great consequences of one phenomenon.

I reckon this is generally the climate of this era for all. I don't think it was like this few decades ago. It was quite stable.

I am sure the various Authorities know what the problems are.

What all of them lack is Will Power to fix it.

More than 30 years ago KL and it's catchment and rivers have a realtime Rainwater and Flood monitoring telemetry system installed all over from Genting to Puchong . Yes DID monitoring station in lake garden can foretell to the hour or less whether a flood is going to take place where and when. Hmmmmm... what has happen to that system after so much advancement in tele technology now....

Knowing all the technicalities that were done earlier, that is why I said there is no Will Power to implement them.

It was well implemented and tested then . After that ....God knows how much water has flowed through the river and 'drains' out without having to tell how high would be the flood water level.....

You should ask was it planned properly in the first place. Build aledy, damaged the eco system, suck this world of its precious resources..spilt milk..reap the consequences..

How to kira kira add and multiply the numbers of high rise projects approved at whims and fancies without taking into considerations the rubbish dumped by the residents? I am sure developers build the buildings without making extra longkangs. They and the authorities just dont factors these into the account.

Also, i reckon there is no budget been made for the prevention of floods. When it happens......just the act of God. And since it is called Kuala Lumpur, be prepared to expect the unexpected flood from Klang Valley to Puchong. That goes for the coastal areas in Kelantan to Pahang where there are absolute no budget to build proper drainage at all.

The worst is in Cameron Highland when there are landslide after heavy downpour.........They chose to blame God instead of the facts and factors of the stripping of mountain landscape which is the recipe for disasters.

I understand there were a few proposals, some Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 etc. There were also other proposals.

Which one the Authority used is unknown to us.

Let's say Phase 1 was done years ago & it was working well then, I have full confidence in our Boleh Enginners.

But have the Authority forgotten Phase 2, Phase 3 etc?

Well, l also angry when I see the free selangorku buses on the road, when l see money spent on upgrading the SJ swimming pool for public to enjoy foc, just to name a few.

I think I'm angry because my tax money is used on areas that are not relevant to me. Sound familar, isn't it ?

Let start venting it all out in a new "Angry at or I hate that" thread. I won't be angry at reading macam2.. venting out anger can be a good remedy for all! Was it at Japan there's places where one pay to vent out all the day's anger and stressful customers are given all sorts of crockery to start throwing.
