A ccording to the report, while Lina was waiting at the traffic light near Burwood shopping mall around midday on the 4th February, a Caucasian-looking man suddenly shouted at her, with what she describes as "a series of insulting words - and yelling 'Get out of my country.'" Although she tried to walk away, the man stopped her and punched her in the face, causing immediate bleeding. "

I am not comparing the two countries (malaysia vs the newly adopted country of someone). There is no comparison between this country with other developed countries that practise good governance.

I often hear people criticize this country when they are permanently somewhere else. They give an impression that everything in this country is not up to par in comparison with their new place. It is interesting to find out whether these people are doing better than many others who are doing fine here.

Don't know why, I just despise these people who possess such mentality. When these people are permanent somewhere, they criticize everything and anything about their previous identity/homeland like this is the only root cause of their failure without knowing they are others here who also have similar fate like them before but they have adapted, improvised and survived, and survive well.

The funny thing is - some of these people are still neither here nor there in their new place ...

Two weeks ago in London, while waiting for my flight back , i bought a few energy bar from the duty free shop, paid her 50 pounds, she look at my 50POUND and the other guy ask me where i get the money from, China? I too shoot back " i am not from China OK and what's wrong with my money ? she recheck with the office too see if it's fake money. Coming back to Australia, i will do the same thing if i'm hit like that. Once i was in Augusta,WA i tell the shopkeeper that our carambola(star fruit) was bigger in our country, he tell me don't bullshit,and he said carambola is small ( just like kiwi fruit ). I told him "you come to my country to if I BULLSHIT YOU".Sometimes you need to be strong headed but nice to encounter this racist.

IN Malaysia we all got very good chance to earn good money, but to buy a new home in another country to relax and enjoy quality food,quality air and life and also nice weather ,WHY NOT IF YOU GOT THE MEANS. People nowadays don't have the FEEL GOOD atmosphere with all the politics with the MP's playing around.

Sometimes, you don't want to spoil the mood especially with family around...

As you know, it is a common practice to buy the Swiss travel pass when travelling in Switzerland. The pass is very convenient, it is a cashless mode of payment and is applicable on train, bus and ferry… and it is cheaper for family travel and longer stay.

There was one occasion when we boarded a sightseeing cruise on Lake Lucerne. The lake wind was strong and was rather chilly outside. We decided to sit inside a cabin with nice seats and tables. When I wanted to order food and hot drinks, the waiter/staff asked me whether I have bought the 1st class ticket. I show him our pass and was told the travel pass is valid for 2nd class seat. I didn’t know the travel pass is not applicable for 1st class cabin.

I have no problem to top-up the difference to remain inside as outside was cold but the LCLY tone of the staff and his “dog eye see human low” kind of attitude pissed me off. I told my wife I wanted to teach him a lesson, we will go for another lake cruise in Zurich if this cruise in Lucerne is screwed. I then walked to the 2nd floor of the cruise office and reported the incident to a senior member of the cruise. I also told her my intention to email this incident to the Switzerland Tourism Board once I am back to hotel. She told me she will handle this and asked me to go back to the 1st class cabin.

A short moment later, she came together with the LCLY staff. She said she has spoken to the staff and she believed this is a misunderstanding. She apologized on behalf of the staff, she did not ask me to top-up the difference. I ordered some good food and nice drinks from the menu and I tipped the staff who serve us Euro20.... ( I don’t carry Swiss France, Euro is widely accepted in Switzerland).

You seldom see £50 notes in UK, why because they are supposed to be big notes.

If you change money in UK Banks, they only give you notes smaller than £50 and if you insist the bigger notes, they may not have stock in the Banks.

Even here in Perth you seldom see AUD$100 notes. But you see plenty of them in Money Exchanges in Malaysia.

As for Australian Carambola, the sizes are from 5cm to 12cm, 115gm to 385gm.

Aussies like to say 'bullshit' & is not consider racist and if that is racist, then you are over sensitive.

I actually no have got no real issues with such emigrated peep. They are gone, makes no diff to situation here dy.

What i most tulan, are those cina pendatangs who like to bitch, complain, cow-peh, cow-boo about everything, yet do not even vote, lend a community hand, get nano-involved to even effect a small change... These lots , i no give face. Taroh 'em kaw kaw each time, open cow-peh, cow-boo mouth...

LAGI SATU ah! Jan! oh Jan! y lah u go teaching, enlightening the angmo about the size of your kahuna star fruits? Let 'em be ignoramus... When the giant kahuna *fruit growers start to realise they can get better price & giant profits in OZ, then u will be only eating kiwi-size star fruits. No more comparing any fruitkahunas (except your own lah :-), ok.

Also i'd have taken the £50 note back. Those lowly educated, low pay front line coolie, are too deprived to have seen many £50notes lah. AND go spent in another shop.

Caveat: HHaving plenty ignoramus coolies around, maketh life easier for many others. Esp me STATUS QUO is truly a blessing indeed.

He was doing the right thing. If you did buy second class cabin ticket and ignorantly sat in the 1 st class, you should be told to move out. But typical of China man Malaysian style, still insist right, does not mean you are right. Try it again, you may not be so lucky next time. They probably had plenty of space in the cruise so they entertained you . Try flying and see if you can insist your way into first class.

I think it is stupid to make assumptions like that. And why despise unless one is jealous. This reminds me of an uncle of mine whose brothers have all move away from Simpang Ringgam and became Singaporeans. He was stubborn and he refuse to accept the facts as he could get everything he wanted in that small town where a one eye is a king in a land of the blind. Today, his brothers all own properties in Singapore and sent their children to study in UK while his kids go to TAR college. His business also struggled as more people moved away from the small town where there were less opportunities. It was 30 years too late for him.
