Irrelevant comparison unless you are Malaysians/Singaporeans who earn SGD but live in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, my ringgit or some said shringgit accounts continue to yield at least 10 times more interest return than a SGD account. Interest rate in Singapore is around 0.1% - 0.4% per annum.. http://www.moneysmart.sg/fixed-deposit

Why compare little things like grocery when the loss in ROI of money keep in the bank is so much more in SGD.

Simple question - Given the same digit, you wanna retire with SGD in Singapore or MYR in Malaysia.... ??

It would be very interesting if I can consistently get 10% ROI in my small nest...more often than not its like betw 6-9% only. Mehtink i fare better than so many of those 'financial advisors' out there who just blur blur recommend possibly to meet their monthly sales quota?)

United will pay a huge price. .. money and irrecoverable brand damage.

United Airlines reached a settlement with the passenger who was violently dragged off a flight earlier this month. David Dao's lawyers announced the deal on Thursday. The amount of the settlement was not disclosed under the terms of the agreement.

Wow !! For him to stop there and keep his mouth shut, must be freaking serious amount of money...

I went to USA, Wow, I saw English speaking peoples working in all types of professions, doctors, lecturers, police, clerks, janitor, waitress, rubbish truck driver, … Some homeless.

In San Francisco, I saw Chinese men and women working as janitor in airport toilets, immigration officers, cleaner at subway station, customer service at information counter, cashier in Macy, pharmacists, lecturers, … If their ancestors are still alive, would they feel proud and good that finally their offspring have “better future “ than back in China ?

Just like some english-speaking "neither-here-nor-there" originally from here but later adopted by a place built by convicts and convicts descendants..

Some of this pathetic tom, dick and matt from here tried whole life to sneak into such place, never mind if they have to mow the lawn or drive uber just to earn extra few bucks for a living over there... a bit like the foreign labours here who brag to their countrymen that they are living in a place more advance than their birthplace without revealing they are just the cheap labour for the locals... ..

Spoken like a true ignorant and unintelligent person. Of course there are people sweeping the floor and there are the homeless. By the way, there are also murderers and criminals overseas too. So Malaysia don't have that? Malaysians are just cheap labour for Singapore. Everyone is flogging there to work. Graduate are paid shit here and you are proud of that , to continue to exploit. Only kaki Ku kaki, why so proud of a society like that? Cannot even have a decent living or walk outside without being robbed, raped and mat rempited. Those who so called rich are kiamsiap rich, you beat and torture your maids. Don't think so highly of yourselves, your rich here is a only a drop in the ocean compared to the US. Just a One eye king in the land of the blind.Always letting your ego get in your way, who can respect your opinions?

Since you are so proud of the "good degree" of your son, I asked you to share with the forum where is the "good degree" came from ?? It seems like you chose not to share, why ah ?? You feel embarrassed of the university of your son ??

You like generalizing your birthplace ??
It's ok for me, I don't get paid to sugarcoat this place..

But I am interested to deal with you, people like you.

I still remember few years back, you asked the forum about oil and gas opportunities in australia and I provided some to you based on the O&G industry here. I think you were keen to explore the lucrative pie in O&G industry in australia. I also remembered you came back later from australia empty handed... and you blamed the industry in austalia being too regulated !!

Well, I guess if you can't make it here (a place which is relatively easier to earn a living), this speaks volume about you and yourself why you can't make it elsewhere !!

I think there is a popular song with such lyric - " loser never change into something real " !!

When someone migrated to a new place, I think it is good not to keep on blaming the previous place that they came from.

They are many people here who can afford to migrate anytime (due to their specialized knowledge or their wealth) but they chose to stick around because they can go to other places WITHOUT shredding their passport. They can easily afford the so-called "expensive education" or "expensive healthcare" abroad WITHOUT the need to emigrate to other countries like those "neither-here-nor-there".

Some of these "neither-here-nor-there" because of their lower qualification and/or lack of $$$, they tried other way to sneak into “better places”. This is fine, it is human nature to look for better life.

But I can’t stand some people who just like to blame and criticize the place that they grew up.. and worse is they think their predicaments are all because of the external/environmental factors, nothing to do with themselves !! They think others who are still around here are all failure !!

Did they ever wonder why others are having better life than them here ??
Did they ever wonder why some who are having good life overseas decided to come back here ??

Honestly and seriously, I enjoyed having fun with such people...

Seriously, have some empathy for others mate. Lest there will be no one else posting on this forum. So many have left or no longer posting. At the end we are all going to end up in the same place, rich or poor, smart alecs or mere simpletons.
