I am very happy today. Finally, he got rid of his opulant and stop murdering the English spelling of Opulent. Of course, he will deny this. There is no such word as Opulant in the English dictionary. He thinks his life is very opulent but unfortunately he can not spell it. So now it is Benjamin, a very curious case this guy, maybe he ages backwards like Benjamin Button. Depending on perspective, the grass is actually brown & dry down under now...esp in NSW. Nope, you kenot play play with water, kenot simply hosing your plants, kenot spray spray your tin can and kenot wash your backside as many Oz home do not understand the word, let alone have bidet lah!
However the greener view for some, is that Carlton's low rise property had even tambah appreciated another 15% over past 1 year. Damn good grass in midst of Oz prop sliding trend...Some say, ditto 5.5% ROI in Little Lonsdale rentals and all without counting prop & currency appreciation.
So apa lagi green grass mahu? When the grass turn brown, burn 'em and make fertilizer or simply make hay lah :-)

Very good, you googled and have taken the world proven reserves and anybody can see that on the internet. As an oil and gas professional, you should know that exploration needs to come before production. So sad you cannot visualize this.
Even if you factor into production, and calculate the gas reserve in term of reserve/production ratio, Asia Pacific (in which Australia is there) is still far behind middle east, CIS and Africa.
Fortunately for you, stupidity however gross is not an offence in Malaysia...
Australia has land size bigger than Europe, land that mostly not explored. Her sea territories are equally big, from cocos island in Indian Ocean on her left to Pacific Ocean on the right, South Ocean to the Antarctica. All unexplored. Just the Arckaringa Basin has reserves that equal to the Saudi Arabia. Most of us know Coober Pedy as where Australia is famous for its opals. Nearby is the Arckaringa Basin. This was only discovered recently and this is only land based. If you can visualize, the land and sea territories claimed and controlled by Australia that are unexplored. Of course, I don�t think you see that far otherwise you will not disagree with me and call me stupid. Only time will tell. I am not even talking about other minerals and resources. When the oil runs out in Saudi,, in 70 years or so, I hope they better be like Singapore, use their brains and not the emotions.
I can see that Australia has lots of resources that countries will die for and I think China has woke up to the fact and started to argue the claims, starting with South China Seas.

Yes it has been declared NSW is 100% in drought At this time it is not affecting the coastal cities and there are no water restrictions thanks to the major dams being around 70%. This is possibly the driest winter for many years. But if the rains don't come soon enough we will likely have water restrictions imposed and the idle desalination plant fired up to feed the system.
Farmers are sending their sheeps and cattle for sale and slaughter as they simply cannot bear the high cost of trucking in hay and feed from other areas. It is really in dire straits and sending many farms up the wall. Prices of lamb and beef is still normal but I think we will get hantam when the supply gets less.
Property prices still going up? Maybe for a rare few suburbs or smaller towns but most are in decline. Prices been up for the last few years and most people expected the slowdown and small falls except for some hardcore investors trying to talk up the prices for self vested interest. But most property owners in major cities would still be sitting on very handsome capital gains, some double to their original purchase prices if they have bought say 10 years ago.
But with little rains and plenty sunshine Sydney is an absolute gem to be in now. Few days ago the afternoon temperature went up to 25C but mostly it has been low 20s, perfect for walks. Night temp drops to low teens and perfect for sleeping. Most homes in my suburb don't have aircon (we do have heaters and fireplace though) installed nor need to but having such warm temperature in winter is a plus.

Hi Bruce. Am just thinking aloud if we as a community have really achieved anything positive by kicking out a contributing member despite his antics. I note that he did attempt to tone down some and avoided being send to banana plantation for many months, a record of sort for him. So while I agreed he went over the limit many times I think it was a talent wasted. But he was well researched in his numerous postings, factual, and does hit the right button in some views. Like the late Sentinel before, he does have positives. But I guess the failure eventually was he did not know when to stop. This type of person intrigue me, in a way that I cannot understand whether or not he understand what he does is wrong and offending to others, or just don't give a damn? A normal person will instantly cringed on those insults he dished out, self professed personal wealth (millions in EPF!) and achievements without so much of anyone asking. I mean why? Does he really have ADHD like you say?
As I mentioned he is a smart cookie, but unfortunately empty on empathy. What some will say got IQ but no EQ....and sadly I know of a few high flyers who have these sad traits.....talented and makes lots of money but completely at loss socially. Perhaps these type of people, a breed apart believe they actually sit at a much higher pedestal of life, and others are mere "simpletons". There you have it!!
Nevertheless, it is still a lost when communities are divided within itself. Not trying to be a smart ass myself but more of curiosity as we all get older and losing friendship. Good read what is running through my mind:

But the level of water remains at 70% which is good.
For over 15 years, the water level of the main dam in Perth was below 30%. The desalination plant has to be used.
Lucky, there is some rain this winter and the level is slightly higher

Good article. My best friend in primary is not my best friend anymore, we grew apart. think it is a progression in life. All things are temporary in this life. We all need to walk our own paths. You can be in a city and still be lonely. Rich but poor. All is fair in love and war. I just punched back when someone punched me, quite normal reaction. Otherwise I am quite civic mannered.
