What I know for sure is, social media is a good source for local taxmen.

Not sure about aussie taxmen whether they gather inputs via social media. It will be interesting if they do because they might be able to find out more abut those ex-malaysians who migrated there, whether they declared their financial gain from properties in malaysia. i have been kaypoing around Myanmar 4 times since 2010...yet to meet so many kinda 134 ethnic Burman, Burmese, and what nots. Actually met more Myanmarese in Sri Hartamas pouring and serving beer for me... Met a number too in that land where the grass is greener.

BTW, have a bit of political decorum & niceties to address that country as Myanmar, NOT Burma. The colonial snowflakes in the west are still retaining Burma for a sense of past glory...
