Help needed to convert a DVD to MKV

Please assist, Is there a way to convert a Protected DVD to MKV or any other digital format for viewing via a media player?

I have purchased a DVD (BTW it's original) and I do not have a player to play it. All my old retired DVD players are no longer workable. The only way to view it now is from my PC. I cannot even copy it to ISO format.

Any advice?

Just saw this.

Buy a software on line.....eg....iSoft Video Converter...it can convert to any format
