Looking for a good but available contractor for a friend
My USJ friend has a double storey house in SS 17 and the last tenant has just moved out but left behind a big mess. The house was also in a state of disrepair. My friend is overseas and won't be back till end April. I was asked to engage a contractor and I have assessed that it would cost at least RM2,000 to make good the place such that it can be rented out again. What makes it urgent is because the water storage tank in the roof is leaking badly due to the faulty float system. What makes the matter worse is the the control valve at the meter is faulty so there is no way I can shut off the incoming supply. The rectification job should not take more than 2 days. He needs a dedicated contractor to focus and finish up the job so that the house can be rented out again as soon as possible. Please PM or call me at 012-2995330. I am also supposed to look for a good tenant for him. The house is very near to Subang Parade and the NPE Expressway.
After the recent water scare, I am also looking to fix an additional water tank.
Can somebody advise a reliable person who supplies and instals these tanks.
Thanks.
Good and available? Yes, I do have someone in mind. He is a good friend and yes, available. But he smokes and drinks, occasionally indulges in empat ekor. How? Ok or not? Joking there!
Allan Cheng? Sorry, I have not heard of him. What are his charges like?
No, I have not forgotten about him. He is too busy and was unable to provide me a date and the water tank leakage has to be plugged like yesterday. I have not gone to Syabas to check the water bill but I estimated that some RM 100 has gone down the drain by the time I got hold of a contractor who was so kind to come on Sunday 10pm to plug the leak at both the water meter end and install a new float system. The parquet in the two rooms were damaged by the water not forgetting the built in cabinet too. This morning I got a call from another contractor who was strongly recommended by a forumer. By the way when I came to this forum crying for help, I also dialed others but as usual, many claimed to be busy when they came to know this is a small job. So how?
I have been locked in a disagreement with PMA maid agency in Puchong for not fulfilling their obligations. I requested for refund from the agency but failed. After went through hard time attempting to get back my money, I found my last hope consumer tribunal.
My case was set to be heard at the tribunal on 15 October 2014. The tribunal President awarded me a refund to be paid by the maid agency within 14 days or the maid agency will face criminal charges under Section 117(1) APP 1999!!
But unfortunately, the maid agency refused to refund after 14 days. I made a complain of non-compliance with the award to the Enforcement Division, Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism on 30 October 2014.
On 29 January 2015, my lawyer served the maid agency a Notice 218 which they have to pay the refund within 21 days. As until today 1st March 2015, I still have not get back my hard-earned money yet!!
I want JUSTICE!!! Please tell me where can I find it Please help........
