" In the land of the blind the one-eyed-jack is king."
Considering the reaction following the verdict.....I guess this sums it up....
'My time is up, I’ll miss you guys'

The only thing I would like say is .... (self censored to comply with forum rules & Malaysia laws)
He has definitely tried his best... He gave all he got till the last minute... no regrets... no remorse ...
So Now....Who?
'Who will be new opposition leader?'

'Turning and turning
The world goes on.
We can't change it, my friend.
Let us go riding all through the days,
Together to the end, to the end. '![]()
I am still amazed how the PMO office could have uploaded the full text of the verdict immediately after it was read by Chief Justice Tun Ariffin Zakaria and they were still deliberating on whether its 5 years or more jail sentence.... so fast and a fully scanned copy too.... must be the new mega-broadband they have...
Well, I will leave it at that.... I have done my part, I will still do my part... if it helps this country I will still contribute....
I don't think this guilty verdict will prolong somebody's position in power.... on the contrary I think it will provide the impetus for a quicker change...
With the article in NY Times yesterday and now this verdict.... even Barack Obama will need to stay away with a ten-foot pole... I am sure The Washington Post will publish something serious these couple of days.... I even think South China Morning Post in HK will report on this in a major way... lets wait and see....
ex-US Ambassador John Mallott won't stay silent, that's for sure....
A travesty of justice by the kangaroo courts...a real shame to his family who have to endure this again
I also received a whatsapp message summarizing the offences near 3pm today.
I tot that was quick
Just now, I received another one at 4.45pm

'Time to rise and shine'
"For PKR’s sake, Azmin Ali should challenge his president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail for the party’s top spot and open channels with Umno, a group that had campaigned for the end of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said today."

This group goes by the acronym of TIBAI.The spiritual leader of the group that called itself ‘Tolak Individu Bernama Anwar Ibrahim’ — or Reject the Individual Named Anwar Ibrahim.
To counter them I suggest a rival group called "Cuma Individu Bernama Anwar Ibrahim" or C...., in short.![]()

I'm wondering if he's to serve a full 5 year sentence or much less time than that. I did hear that when its 5 years, depending on the board and some circumstances, prisoners can be released much earlier. 3 years? Doesn't mean you're sentenced to life imprisonment, you incarcerated till death.. usually 15-20 years actual time.
