    Homestay

    I have a empty shoplot in the first floor in KL.Just thought of doing some extra side income.Can i just rent it to tourist for a week stay? More details later.

    I think there's licensing issues to this (since its assumed as commercial lot) and cover yourself if anything bad happen. Better do some homework before you let out. Never know wan!..

    Basically private arragment thru friends or facebook.Can rent short term or long term.Fully furnish.

    Remember.... "Murphy's Law" and also "When It Rains, It Pours...."

    A "one in a million chance" can happen the very first time or on the millionth time, it is still one in a million chance. Do it properly with licence and insurance - otherwise its not worth the income for the risk you take... if a guest dies in a fire, you might be subject to personal lawsuit and might also face a charge for 3rd degree murder for causing a death...

    Thats why in any business one may do, its foremost fundamental to PROTECT YOURSELF to the best of your ability, I think you are seasoned and be very aware and not discount this, unless you like to take risks. We never know what the future is.

    Jan - my friend is facing lawsuits filed in Canada by his Canadian backpackers! The victims had 3rd degree burn!
