    Battery Life

Bought a Samsung Note II in Sept 2013. Initially the battery can last 3 -4 days when fully charges. But lately it just drained out within one day even when not in use. Went to one of the service centre to check and was told that the battery is OK. Have not install any new apps and went to the extend to uninstall a few apps from the phone. Anyone here face the similar problems with their smart phone?? What would be the best remedy to prevent such occurrence? Thanks

For me ... if you leave your data plan on, the battery will drain to 10% in one day or 16 hours (assuming you don't power off your phone while you sleep) ... for me I don't have a data plan but use the smartphone just for whatsapps and emails notifications), the battery will drain to 50% after 2 days (I off my phone from 10pm to 6am).... I'll recharge it when it reaches 50%.
If I whatsapps like mad.... then it will drain to 50% at the end of the same day of charging.
    Khap!~

Best 'power' battery is found in Windows phones. To be exact, the Nokia Lumia 1520. It is packed with a 3400mAh battery!!

No worries mate. I am using a Lumia 1520. Damn good phone. Lotsa battery juice. Free GPS, works offline. Free Word and Excel. 20-megapixel camera! More!

It depends, actually. If you watch videos/play video games nonstop for hours on end, then obviously it cannot last that long. Comparatively, it should outlast all other phones! No other handphones come with a 3400mAh battery, to the best of my knowledge. Given the same amount of usage, the 1520 should outlast 'em all! . Oh and did I say it comes with a full HD screen?

I have not really taken notice. I do not have to recharge the whole day despite going in and out of FB and posting pics & stuff, WhatsApp. . I would charge it to full capacity when am back home. Most times I notice it goes down to about 30% when I am done for the day (full day out, from morning to evening).

However, if I were to take pictures and go into video shooting mode, the battery goes fast! That's why I bought a power bank for my Aussie trip.

All batteries supplied OEM or Original aren't perfect. They all vary in performance, reliability and workload.
Nothing is perfect although most are generally ok. There will be all sorts of complaints from anywhere and users around the world. Car battery oso last just a lil more than a year.. everytime I buy new, the price is up and up.
Best was Shenzhen China.. buy any customized battery for power bank...made within the hour or on the spot.. but you get what you pay for, no assurances.
I managed to find my Lenovo battery and Lumix camera battery there...I can't get it here..good no good, buy for kei sup khau. The Lenovo battery lasts 20% less on any day so I keep it as a spare just in case.
Now my Samsung Note tablet also drain fast...I've little choice but to have it replaced soon at authorised service center, pay lor..I'm not about to break open and wreck the delicate plastic chassis.

One and half years, very casual use..not an everyday work tool. Just to surf and keep touch with certain things without the need of any pricy laptop. My laptop is obsolete, the tablet took over.
I think if approx 2 years would be acceptable and normal lifespan. My previous HP laptop battery lasted about 4 years plus..it was good. I was thinking of reviving the laptop for very general use, but its still slow on XP. Intel Centrino 1.8Ghz.

I was using a Galaxy W for just about a year. Battery life stinks and also behave a bit cuckoo. Biggest problem was when syncronizing with my Outlook on Calendar & Contacts...took ages!! Gave up on it and switched to Xperia. Very happy now. Wifey took over to use just for WhatsApp. Now complaining the battery also drains very, very fast despite only for What'sApp using house wifi!! Virtually keeps it plugged in!! So I guess you are not alone facing this battery problem... if it's any consolation!

I had the samsung note 2 for almost 2 years. The battery still works great. I propose you download some battery tools to check some bloatwares, where samsung and google is known to have them and the bloatwares do drain a lot of battery power. Sometimes, after some software update, the phone may give problem. Example, whatapps. A few times, after whatapps update, the battery will get worse and the next update will fix this. Happens before. Download clean master to clean the memory too for efficiency.
