Cheated by lelong seller from lelong.com.my

Hi All, my friend bought a zenfone from lelong.com.my but the zenfone never sampai.

She has made police report, brought the issue up with lelong.com.my, called the seller and he "ok hantar besok" and gave a fake tracking number, after that phone off, she has his CIMB account details, can she bring the police report and go to the bank and ask the bank to check?

    Or anyone encountered this before?

Do you think the "hero" michael chong from MCA will layan this case?

As I understand if you pay thru their NetPay system, you are well protected, lelong will give you refund if proven is fraud case.

Hi chkoid and AltV, thanks for your information.
Lelong is still telling my friend that 'under investigation' and she found the seller in this "Senarai Penipu Online Malaysia Detail [scammer]'s" FB page, https://m.facebook.com/Senarai.Penip...cGUiOjI3NH0%3D.

All the time I though lelong is safe, but now I will check out this FB page before I buy anything.

    Found the here too: http://www.majalah.com/?profile:eman-8:8TGXJ81QSL

Lelong no feedback, no call up, no follow up, until my friend physically went there.
From the emails that I received, nowadays lelong conducts 'lessons' in their Bandar Puteri Puchong office to teach ppl how to sell on lelong, I almost went.

Have avoided Lelong.com.my for sometime now. The sellers on auction usually do price jacking. And a lot of the stuff sell are fakes.

eerrrr.... suckers are fortunately born everyday. Esp when they thought they had the bestest deal in town. Deals that even their own father/mother/bro/sis/rellies/loved ones/own blood wont sell to 'em !

BUT a complete 100% proof virtual stranger would!

Lato Tupai..you're not being fair lah. There's so many suckers in this world no doubt, and countless people get conned at least once in their lives and learn lessons from it. Surely included are "professional or highly educated konon" people who get conned or duped in some deal. People just have to be on the alert and not too trusting in some deals that look too good to be true. Even seasoned businessmen get duped once a while. Said my piece.

totally disagree. GREED is the cause of their lo$$es. Greed is in every human regardless of literacy level from lawyers to doktor to any1 in USJ.com.my...
Seriously, where got road people complete strangers selling things near cost or better yet, BELOW cost. AND I tellchew, if sold below cost, betcha it will be stolen goods or goods that somehow fell off the back of a lorry!

Last night after 2.5bottles of Glenmorangie, the newly introduced friend mentioned a deal that he was offered...He got told me his deals that are worth hundreds of RMMillions...from the apanama dumboparty lah! He got blue prints, proposals, MOUs, and lotsa apanama kertas with signatures of apanama this & apnama that also.

But a bit later he got also told me that he is suspicious of the deals...

I got then told him that there are 24000+ cawagan and 4.2million dumbos in need of such lucrative kontracts and what make him a whisky drinking cina-pendatang so special that these deals dropped on his lap???
I got told him, if his deals were konkrit and solid can fly with irrevocable guarantees (like 1mdb) from your 1govt, I WILL FIND the monies to fund em all! I tink he got believe me, a complete stranger up to 5hrs ago!

But he smart also...He no telling me reply

BUT like what i got said many times, many greedy suckers got fall for such 'bargains', such great deals of the centuries...from complete strangers! No matter a deal for a smart phone below market price or a land deal in iskandar, or a gold mine in gua musang...where got road 1??

You're very right about greed as ONE root cause, and that also thrive as the main ingredient on the Stock Exchange, also at Genting Black Jack table but to a lesser extent.
But thats beside the point. We're not on the issue of greed or what caused a misfortune, but generally about what have happened. Man seldom control their greed, that include YOU, I and perhaps everyone on this planet, excluding the insane or the dead.
I'm cocksure greed isn't always the sole reason for some seasoned businessman's misfortune. It could be other circumstances that lead to loss. In this case, buying a Zenphone over Lelong "could be cheaper"..I say again, COULD BE CHEAPER, Less hassle to drive out to dealer, or KL just to save some shringgit, but then happen the seller is a conman..take money and don't fulfil the order. I really don't think greed is a root cause. WHO DON'T WANT to buy cheaper..I'm not saying something is worth Rm1k, and its advertised at 400. Too good to be true isn't it? People hope for a bargain all the time and less than normal prices at dealers. My son buys phones over the internet often..luckily no misfortune. He find it more expensive in KK.
    OK..said my piece.

could be could be that evfery1 wanna a bargain...but those of whom I personally know of being scammed are all caused by personal greed and naivety. Yes, including a doctor and a lawyer (not fightercock lawyer but pen-pushing lawyer lah)

so we agree to disagree and lets do lunch...
