Yes, nothing new here..........old old stories.....in fact, a few offices and residencies were raided since last year .happens ALL the times.
Only the guilty or some evader would be either irritated by this or disappointed. The law isn't there to suit your whim, when you want it applied, or when you feel its unjust and want to get away with whatever.
Or work in Brunei lah..no Income Tax.
Ours is nothing compared to UK taxes.. especially death duties.. a substantial portion goes back to the coffers after your demise. But then a better quality of life in the UK while you're living. Here, you rough it our on your own wit.
I don't want to mention about how your 1gahmen spend or squander tax payer's money.. all I know we get back little, or crumbs.
I get crumbs... I also pay crumbs.... all income from overseas are not repatriated back... and when they do come back, taxes have been paid at country of origin as earnings of offshore companies... dividends repatriated back are not subjected to income tax... so Bolehland gomen is the loser...
I am not sure about the better quality of life...because I am quite sure a part of those taxes are used to provide for welfare and social security. For example if someone is jobless, the govt has a system to pay the jobless an allowance so that they don't starve. Some of the thick-skinned hard-core lazy bums in the UK and Oz actually live on that system... would you pay those taxes knowing you are working your butt off while some jobless person is too picky or lazy to take up a job?
Moral of he argument ... nothing is as green as it looks
