For any vendor, they need scores of customers with this attitude everyday and they profit, moroever don't give a S what you think.
Surely you can ask the prices if you want to.

I always ask..10 out ot 10 I get a farnie stare..what did I do wrong?.. but never mind me. What about other customers? If everyone were to wise up and want to help counter profiteering or cheating, they could do the same and resist buying, but its not to be. Its People Power.. not Gahmen Power. People no will to make a change, nothing will change..No will = No hope too! Just the same or could be worse than some GE..

Already said it don't matter to me. The shrewd businesses will carry on being happy to prey on people who don't want to help themselves and ever so willing to cough up the extra.

Maybe it's written on their wall saying there is a 20 cts increased.

Maybe the reason they did not bother reprinting their menus with the new prices cos' that cost $$$$$ & is likely to pass to the customers

On the Malaysian Customs website there is a list of recommended vendors of GST compliant accounting software. The price range from 2k to more than 10k. I guess the cheaper software is for smaller companies while the more expensive ones are for larger companies. So if you have an annual turnover of 1 million, a 10k software is only 1% and it is a one off expense. As for bills, you have to print them whether you have GST or not.

I have been to 2 GST seminars so far, GST implementation is going to be very tough for many businessmen, the businesses will create plenty of jobs, especially in manufacturing and IT. I seriously think we need to be more literate to be able to implement GST without being caught by the authority due to errors in reporting. As a literate person, I am very concern about how to implement GST in business, I can not imaging how illiterate bosses expected to handle their quarterly reporting efficiently and accurately.

About 2 weeks ago, the authority asked Chinese Newspaper to 'call' Chinese businessmen to register. When asked why in particular Chinese, the guy responded because they estimated a few hundred thousands Chinese businessmen will need to register, but they have not.

In the last 2 seminars, it seems more than 95% of attendees are from same ethnicity. I wonder what happen to other races, they are not involve in GST implementation?

I expected cost of living for the poor would be greatly affected, I felt sorry, with the current government the poor and illiterate already facing so much hardship, they are taken advantage because of their 'illiteracy and incompetency' , it will be adding salt to wound with implementation of GST. When life becoming challenging, these people who are making life difficult for the poor came in to give some money like a life saver.

Only company that has a GST registration number can apply GST on customer, and they can only do so through Tax Invoice.

Even the Deputy Director for GST also same ethnic! When she asked, "you know who I am right?", I was thinking, "Ya lah you are the culprit! You are the reason why we spend money attending seminar! Sit here, listening to you telling us how life will be more miserable for many!"

I have yet to see the list of items that will be subject to GST, wonder if loan interest subject to GST!

For businessmen/women, if you have not find out how GST works, better do so, because come 1st April, if you supply/invoice anything without charging your customers GST, you would have to bear the GST if it is taxable.

I think people don’t know how things operate in your 1gomen now…

They are a lot of very smart people there contrary to what many believe... !!

Most are young and graduated from good schools overseas and I believe they are there because of the scholarship bond. They are the interface with outside top-notch think tank/consultant, doing the backroom works of formulating strategy and policy.... and many of them share the same surname with you and me.. !!

Those you deal with in front office or in seminar are not in the same lead. These are the ones who follow and implement what have been designed from those I mentioned earlier.
