Back in the 90s the best char-siew in KL was the one on Jalan Tengkat Tongshin which they later moved or gone missing..? Apollo USJ4 and the one in Glenmarie is the next best ones, supa-dupa yummy. Thanks guys for the recommendations!![]()
Yes I believe that's the one. They operated from an old colonial shop-house, although the condition of the shop was totally run-down and some deemed it as hazardous even and with a hygiene level below 2 but the char siew was simply 'heaven'. I was told they moved to another location but since I no longer work in city I stopped the 'Pursue for happyness' . Now with Apollo I'm only 10 minutes away. Woohooo!
Alamak!!!
I was back there last week. The street is so different now and is packed with B&Bs. But the beef noodle (Ngau Kee) is still there and the son is running it.
All yummy food has some form of repercussion. moderate in moderation![]()
Cool! As I remember it, their charsiew was one of a kind-ish. It just melts in the mouth. Minimal chewing required! hahaha. Damn good, real good, bloody good!! I didn't know they have moved. Have you found out where they have moved to? When I am in the area, I'd sure love to pay them a visit.

Well, if you have to know, the last time I was there was about 7 months ago, so I should be safe! hahaha. Not sure about Currymee's "makan itinerary" though. lol . Wait...just read that CM had a bowl yesterday! How often do you visit Choy Kee, anyways, CM? I find their servings too small. Just doesn't fill me up! I like their claypot loh-sui-fun, available only at night. Been more than a year since I last ate it. Maybe it's time I did some claypot loh-sui-fun munching again!
