    Is this true ? Then why is it many people can't get citizenship after 10 years being married to Malaysians ?

    There are people born in Malaysia also can citizenship

    Yes and no. There are many people who live their whole life here and still being denied citizenship.

    Or could it be because Mahathir knows the legal law but there are certain people abusing the law denying certain groups of people their citizenship rights ?

    I still remember a friendly Burmese waiter that I met early last year while eating at the Tappers Cafe in USJ Giant. He told me that he has been staying in Malaysia for 1 year plus & already has his Malaysia citizenship approved.
    so, why he can easily get whereas those who live in Malaysia almost all their lives or who are married to Malaysians can even get the citizenship?

    At least, Singapore gave citizenship to quality foreigners, unlike Malaysia.
