Since the MH17 tragedy people seem to have forgotten about the kidnapped policeman and the "unsound mind" WO who is supposed to go to NZ to "assist in police investigations"

C'mon!.. those 2 very very tragic plane disasters are among the very worst tragedies if not the worst for Malaysia and MAS this century. No need to think of the those events compared to the plane disaster. Its over 500 people (2 planes) gone tragically in a flash. Its heartbreaking!

Lee, since you are counting you might as well include the one thousand Gazan deaths since the murderous Israelis launched their offensive on July 17. Don't stop yet. There'll be more. This is more heartbreaking, no?

Israel should pick someone their own size.

They did pick someone not just their own size but bigger than their size when they were still very small size…

Maybe you have watched this real-story movie, Munich.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munich_(film) [Take a closer look at Daniel Craig. He was so young and green, like a boy scout !!]

The Israel-Palestine conflicts and bloodshed are complicated and compounded with issues related to religion, land, fresh water, colonial history, regional history and the post-cold war balance.

The casualties and sufferers are always the civilians, not the politicians and game players..

To me the Gaza issue is just two tribes fighting over a piece of land which both claimed their god promised them. This is what you get when people literally believe medieval time story books as truth.

You mean the Gazans, all alone by themselves with a few miserable rockets and shunted into a narrow strip of land, are bigger (and mightier) than Israel? Your statement is only true if refering to the war Israel fought in the 1960s up to early 1970s with Egypt and Syria.

To me Hollywood movies are for entertainment. If the Jews were once victims, which I agree, they are no longer victims now. They are the oppressors and aggressors.

It started as a territorial dispute and complicated, over time, by all the other things you mentioned. We need to go back to the time of the break-up of the Ottoman Empire and later the British mandate to rule the region known as the Middle East today. Modern Israel is a political creation, like so many of the neighbouring countries. The nation of israel existed only in Biblical times and even then some people are questioning the authenticity of the Bible.

IMO, this subject merits further discussion in a new thread.

If you notice I used "did" and "were" in the 1st sentence of my post, your question may not be necessary..

Steven Speilberg is not the typical movie director/producer who produced movie just for entertainment...
Munich, Schindler's List, Empire of The Sun, Lincoln are serious movies, in my opinion..

    OK, I misread.

Anyway we know who all those movie moguls are and the clout they have.

I think for the sake of balance they should also make some movies about how the Palestinian people, although decimated, blockaded and deprived of their freedom and the most basic goods and services, survived against all odds and still have the mental and physical strength to fire a few miserable rockets. Afterall, the baddies to one side are the heroes of the other side. Maybe such movies won't sell.

Meanwhile PRDM is busy in Penang arresting members of an "illegal" organisation. Maybe will even need reinforcements from other states
