    Sabah- Another kidnapped

They keep coming.....I lost count of the numbers of kidnappings.....and in the last case, a Chinese tourist & Pilipino woman, the 1Government said no ransom was paid....you believe or not?......so the kidnappers lost money & couldn't even covered for their outboard petrol money??

KUNAK.. Two armed men abducted a 32-year-old fish breeder and a Filipino worker by sea in less than five minutes at Kg Air Sapang, some 10km from Kunak town, Monday - the third such incident in the East Coast of Sabah this year alone and fourth within six months.

People in the East Coast towns are living in fear and the country has gone to the dogs

Kidnapping is a lucrative business over there.

    Kidnap Zone of Sabah

There were several postings in this forum about kidnappings especially in the East Coast towns of Sabah.

But I failed to find them-lost in this jungle.

Since the situation is not getting any better despite all the assurances by the authorities, I am starting a new thread for ease of reference.

The latest can be found here.

There was an article in MSM that the military and civilian "elites" of Asscom suspect the front-liners may be taking bribes to let the kidnapper in. Don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Hong Kong partner of Silam hostage killed in car crash in Sabah

The businessman identified as Kee Kwok Edien, 63, the owner of Wonderful Terrace Fish Farm, from where Yang Zau Lin, a 34-year-old Chinese national, was kidnapped by Filipino gunmen on May 6.

Unconfirmed reports claimed Kee was carrying an unspecified sum of money, believed to be the ransom for his partner's release.

Ya la. These Abu Sayap and Suluks are so free and got nothing better to do, so they kidnap people for fun. It is much fun to risk being shot at, playing hide and seek, feed the "kidnapee", negotiate with middlemen and then release the "kidnapee".

Its RM3 million per captive and everyone knows that - only the 1garmen don't dare to admit defeat! How to explain the RM300 million spent on ESSCOM?

p/s the RM3 million a piece ransom is usually paid by local businessman and later he gets a "project" and makes back much more... it it the "lu tolong sama gua, gua tolong sama lu" sickness
