My God. It could happen to anybody. Wrong time, wrong place. I hope no one bought the farm. This is not the way to go.

I cringe whenever I approach that area onward to the NS highway. Its so busy and like a circus there. Its like a place waiting for something very nasty and tragic to happen..Publuic safety is always questionable because things are ALWAYS done at cheapest cost where able and for certain safety measures are compromised. I don't blame anyone for fearing the worst when projects are underway at very busy locations. I reckon they'll be compensated by public liability insurance, but if victims are crippled or dead, no amount of money can reverse the situation. People's lives are changed forever by tragedy..
Almost a similar incident to the collapse during the construction of the slip road for the Penang Second Bridge.... when the wet concrete breached the weight and broke the scaffolding and crush someone dead.... shows how the authorities here manage public safety at construction sites....![]()
Life is cheap and safety measures are compromised. This happens practically everyday in the Station 8 LRT construction site. Cars pass underneath. Cranes carrying heavy stuff overhead. All it needs is an "Ooops!", then.... but nothing much is done and we wait for the next accident.

Again, in Station 8 construction site along Persiaran Kewajipan, there is so much dead weight on top of the scaffolding. You wont catch me passing underneath all these!

4 weeks or so ago, whenever I drove under that section just before the Bangsar Shopping Centre coming from Jalan Duta, I took extra care & looked up to see if any body was working on the top of the LRT.
One day, there were a few boys passing over some pipes for formworks, I stopped my car & I made sure there was a big enough space in front of my car before I went under it since the queue is always long
Yes, it's scary & in Boleh, you look after yourself first
TRC in damage control. Shouldn't safety be the top priority at all times?

This high voltage cable was strung at waist level between some trees on the road shoulder between Persiaran Kewajipan and USJ 6/7. No, it is not a piece of rope. All it needs is someone to yank at the wire or some kinds deciding to cut it with a knife or scissors.

Run out of post?
why not bury the correct type?
the subcontractor was sacked. At least it's better than the 'tidak apa' attitude traditionally shown.
