There will be a “working committee” {again !!} involving all the stakeholders from JPJ, car accessory association, waste-of-time academicians, traffic police, MAA, AAM and also don’t-know-what car importers, etc., etc. to sit down, discuss and finalize the final spec of the allowable tint...It started 3weeks ahead of schedule. Mind you, the “discussion” and “finalization" with easily take another 6-9 months. Maybe this time of next year, you can send a reminder about this tinted sheet inspection thingy…

If you are Mr Big, you can actually apply to JPJ for permission to use dark dark tints and then you are issued with a special sticker for your screen

I will have a problem with my 1993 Alfa GTV... the windscreen is "automatic" ie it gets darker when the sun is bright and gets clearer when its darker... better go look for the original Owner's Manual and keep in the car just in case.... but then again they might not stop me coz this car has a single digit number plate as it used to be owned by a deputy minister back then...

I find it hard to believe its serious business with PDRM.... all my life I have driven 38 years now... from the manual Ford Escort GT to VW Beetle 1300 to whatever all along the entire stretch of Peninsula and I have never come across a "clean" road block... never...it will be a nation wide major ops...and no excuses because it is Operasi sah with min. ranking Inspector in the group.

So true as to what u say.... the truth is the PDRM has a serious public perception whenever the public sees a roadblock or even a patrol stop. Automatically the public wud think "makan time or angpou time" ! Even the kids in the car wud make the same comments... but who do u blame? I'd blame the low salaries, high cost of living and the lack of accountibility with higher up officers ignoring the problems.
It has come to a point that almost every cop that wears the uniform thinks that they are invincible and CAN do anything they please... hardly any SOP is followed. Just saw a cop car pull over a biker and the biker was asked to go i to the car to .... ( discuss? nego? ) Highly suspicious move but with no proof, one can only speculate why the pull over...Things like this only give the public more fodder to suspect "all" cops are crooked!!
