I can be happy anywhere... I am quite happy here in Bolehland... I am the type that can pack up and travel on short notices... and since I have lived for sometime in some of the countries around ASEAN and even UK and Greece... I can adapt... I am not really mad with the politics here... just think its a passage... soon there will be a major event and everything is back on track with a thorough reformational process... meanwhile I continue looking for that elusive classic car with original right hand drive hehehe....

Home is home..period! All forumers here being born, bred and schooled here stands for the biggest influence and bias to regard this land as HOME as a very natural state of mind. I think I need not elaborate further.

The only SEA countries on the happiest list are Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

Why aren't Vietnamese, Filipino, Indon happy?

Precisely the reason why some people chose to stay..

If one chose somewhere else because the grass is greener over the other side, I think it should be done during younger age.

When you reach a stage where all the nonsenses won’t affect you, why the heck to start a new life all over again.

With this constant concern/alertness whenever you move around, there is no happiness.

Even when you are driving, motor cycles pass from behind on your left side, cut across you to the right and also the other way round

Personally I do not agree with the title of this thread.

    You are spot on...

The list used unemployment, inflation rate and interest rate as measurements in the “misery index”.

If this is correct, then those lazy bums in the oil-rich middle east should be the happiest parasites in the world…

WOW... “fast and furious“ movies look like mickey mouse carton when compare to them…. !!

So, I guess they are one of these or a combination of these:

    - natural born tyre tester.
    - natural born car wreaker
    - natural born vehicle hater
    - they are short of some vital nerves in their brain..

    or they are simply knock-proof....

Earning anything below $3k in big city in MY is poor. Middle will be around $10k and $30k a month rich.
