I hope Dyana wins in the by-election. A Malay candidate from DAP wins in a Parliamentary constituency where the mix is rather balance – 41% Chinese and 39% Malay. This is the best answer to hit back to those racist dummno members.
I am not too concerned whether she wins or lose (although I hope she can win). I am more interested to know how long she can remain in DAP. I hope she won’t become Tunku Aziz #2. I believe she can remain in DAP a longer time because she is new, young and lack the asset of not being a listener. I have all the respect for DAP’s veterans like Lim Kit Siang but the past and present management style in this party cannot retain people with high calibre who view things differently with the existing management.
Back to the by-election, I think it is a tough fight. DAP won last year – they practically swept all Chinese votes and they got 28% of Malay votes. This time, they need to have higher support form Malay voters as they will lose some Chinese votes. The hudud law from PAS does not help DAP to gain more votes from Chinese community and more importantly, this is not a GE, win or lose won’t change the big picture. As a result, I think the local Chinese may want to vote someone else to get "development money" injected into this rural town.

Blinded by love for DAP, Teluk Intan Chinese say Dyana’s race irrelevant

“Her race doesn’t matter; you put any Tom, Dick and Harry, DAP will win,”
That seems to be the sentiment in Pasir Bedamar... question is .. is it the same across Teluk Intan??
It's good to know that DAP field a Malay girl in this by-election.
Let's hope she wins convincingly and let's hope she will not be tempted by Boleh's money politics
