Moving to new house soon but need a good outdoor filter for the whole house.I think there are only 2 types in the market,rocket style or membrane style.At present i am using the rocket fiber glass filter with "aussie volcano sand" which gives little effect.Was told by "rocket" salesman that membrane type does not fit in as our water pressure is too fast for membrane to filter effectively.Any recommendations??

I believe this is depend on the model, a risk due to outdoors and our temperature that will destroy or deteriorate anything under our sun. The valve is a purely mechanical device and can break or deteriorate in time. Nothing is bulletproof..some are lucky, some not. I'd rather a well supported brand than something that the salesman would tell you to replace entirely just because no spares. Tough to find ideals..

I bought Waterco since 2002,when water filters brand were few.Cost me RM2400.Altough nowadays it"s much cheaper .Went to Bacfree also very expensive but good service.

Last time I heard (less than 2 years ago) you moved to a big condo in BU, now you are moving again !!

Continue to live in condo lah, no need to bother about water filters..

Rhiga,children growing up also,only two cars allow,need to stay in landed property and after all wife want to stay in landed property.BTW Goodyear Court 10 is still the best place to stay.Miantenence is also cheap 12sen s/ft

Car park is a small issue. The main issue is when you don’t like the neighbors and the management of the property.

For high-end condo, usually there is excess of visitor parking lot. You can propose to the JMC/MC during AGM to lease the visitor parking to residents who need extra parking lot. In the place I stay, residents give consent to management committee to rent 20% of the visitor car park to residents based on 1st come 1st get basis.

Anywhere you live, you can’t choose your neighbors. I think you have no choice to deal with a diverse group of people when you want to live in a community-sharing neighborhood.

At the end of the day, if you want to stay in a condo for a long period of time, you just have to work with others to make it better. I can’t imagine myself stay in a non-GnG landed property where there are no House Rules and no enforcement of rules to provide a conducive living. It can be very tiring each day when you reach home, you find neighbor's car infront of your gate, neighbor’s cat shitting in your garden, ah long or direct sales leaflets/stickles inside your mail box, truck or other vehicles emitting exhaust gas just in front of house, stranger infront of your house or in your garden in the midle of the night, and not to mention the higher risks of break-in when nobody at home...., etc !!

When you have children and old folk, good condo is a better choice. Of course, if the pocket is deep enough, a very exclusively gated and guarded landed property would be even better.. !!

Its mostly all about CHOICE, AFFORDABILITY, YOUR IDEALS.. and everyone wants the very best that suit themselves. Who don't want the very best situation and deal, you want, everyone also want. We can only do so much to strike a balance or compromise in such situation or predicament. If your ideals are met, then good for you! Its getting tougher by the year. For all those who already achieved it, good for you. Consider yourselves fortunate and blessed. For those (the next generation or offspring) who are starting out, I wish them the very best of luck cos its very very difficult to achieve what the previous generation have, save a minority few who either by fate and luck, inheritance or have done extremely well.

I am fed up of changing filters, cooking hot water and refilling water.

So I got a system at RM1 a day or $360/yr rental. Water filter changed by them and the water bar mantain by them. Got cold and hotwater.
If system got problem, changed by them.

Let me know if you are interested. No commission for me.

Look lah!.. our piped water is not the most ideal or most pure. Its "just clean, seen as, presumed as clean". For all those who insist on purer water with little or no contamination, then just have to invest and use some suitable water filtration system. No 2 ways about it. I got a huge sand filter at the mains, at least that is something done. I cannot afford all those "diamond, gold, sapphire or whatever 6star rated systems" for the last word in receiving pure water. I got about 20 years more or less to live..so much for that, hope I don't end up in a wheelchair.

Looks identical to something I had a long time ago, was damn expensive, (nope, I didn't buy it but inherited it). RM1.7k I think, filter is a couple of hundred, distributor went bust long ago..thats that. The "dirtier" your water, the faster it clogs and flow is restricted, change filter...few hundred bucks.. not cheap! End up better buying bottled drinking water from some vendor from AEON all month! I think I still have it somewhere in my store, defunct!
