Marilyn's Coming To Stay With Me....

I saw this video last year.... and use my resources and connection to find out where Marilyn was sent to... the best bet was a website address on the side of the hauling truck that picked up Marilyn... the bike went to Classic Bike Shop in Milwaukee... and slowly but surely, contact was made and later after some negotiation, the bike was secured...

Then come the part about bringing Marilyn home, getting her a place in a cargo ship... make sure no rust from the salty sea breeze... need for an air tight container packing etc... and the bureaucratic application for an AP...

Happy to say, Marilyn will be home from Port Klang arriving Penang Monday evening....

The bike is relatively cheap considering that its almost 100% new parts except a re-worked engine and frame, almost everything is brand new parts... it took Mr Randakk 3 years to restore the bike to what it is now - of course he was working also on a Kawasaki GT13 (you can briefly see in the background with a huge tail light) but the cost of overland trucking to the nearest port, the air-tight packing, the freight and the AP cost in total cost more than the bike.... plus some expenses related to the AP and the long hours waiting in the MITI office and the few buffet lunches on Japanese food at Mandarin Oriental KL.... to help speed up the AP...

I have not been sleeping well last few nights after FreightMark called me from Port Klang on Thursday they have paid the import / excise for me and now the bike has been gently sent to JPJ last Friday for registration... it will be gently trucked down on Monday... This is my 55th Birthday "PENCEN" present for myself... 33 years of slogging and blood, sweat and tears to bring home the bacon for the family dining table... I think I deserve this...

Versus a Bentley GT or a Mercedes AMG63 - Marilyn is anytime better - 100 times better present!!!

Sentinel, If you are Ok with it and depending on the actual dates, I can bring my sweet CBE (can do everything) Vicky and ride with Marilyn up north...to Penang or even further following the Northern Star :-)

    It will be a blast!

Actually, you shouldn't believe everything posted in virtual world lah.
I dont really know the person Sentinel had mentioned. I know where the shop is but i dont know the Chia boss. You see I belong to the 'stick to just one mechanic forever' group lah. My bike workshop is SC Premium Bikes s/b (previously known as SunWay Cycle, in PJS 7.

    https://www.facebook.com/scpremiumbikesmy

Ah Hoi is the boss. he has been my trusted mechanic & friend past 2decades. By Jove! since the early days of sect 16 MSC where he was just a chia-tou-lor mechanic.

So, All my jap bikes go to SC Premium for their needs.
Ah Hoi & his Brother know my bikes inside out, outside in...and all are in tip top cond for my long distance tour options (Bcos I have time, there is 'No sunday engine warming ride' to genting for ridiculously priced *buck coffee & back kinda ride for me... see, anything less than 1000km doesnt appeal to me lah

My other bike is Juicy Lucy and it has been maintained by Harley Davidson dealership or its retired technician since 1992.
And sorry SCpremium doesnt deal with scoot...2nd hand big bikes yes. BUT I can still take you to SEA Park and have the best deep fried chicken rice ever! PM me with dates.

Patrick should know if not next few weeks I come down I take you there... if you free you can go there yourself too. There's a petrol kiosk on the same side of Sunway Pyramid - can't remember if its a Caltex or Esso but it was red in colour... go in that road and you can see a row of shops and there's a CHIA MOTORCYCLE there, ask for Ah Wai...

The first generation Goldwing - 1976 manufactured in USA / GL1000 - its 6-cylinder and dual discbrakes front and back.... I saw the only one in Malaysia in Labuan which bore the number HS6 with I believe belonged to ex-CM Harris Salleh... and I have been in love and looking for this bike eversince... saw many in Japan and US and finally I chose Marilyn...

HAHAHAH...I know only BullDog Kwan and YYPang lah...they my sifus lah. Sonny Soh of bangsar no hew me cos i also too young ciku then...Yup that d'sara stretch was our fave racing route too...but i was more into super saloon car then. and those old fellas would probably 'only know' me as the youngest Race comm member of MMSC, and later SAMRA. Esp when they wanted more complimentary or press passes...

Yup. MAFTS is that old & respectable too. Sadly, Not many of the really old boys & sifus wanna come even for the recent AGMs...I have also skipped last year on account of 'not being around' bolehland

It does look like it was build on the platform of the Honda CBs of that era, with the flat six shoe-horned in.
