Two months ago, I tried the new curry mee stall at The New Apollo coffee shop at USJ 4. I was shocked when he charged me RM6.50. I commented to him that most probably his is the most expensive curry mee in USJ. I didn't like his look when he heard me said that. And when I added that his was nothing great to shout about, I had a feeling that he didn't like that either. I predicted that he wouldn't survive 3 months as nobody would patronise his shop with high price and bad taste. Guess what. I was damn right. He closed shop shortly after that. Tak boleh makan punya and summore wanted to charge RM6.50. The last I heard he is selling something not curry mee in USJ 2.
The curry mee at Pusat Bandar Puchong Fatt Kee (across LDP from Tesco) is quite good at RM7. You can choose siew yoke or char siew or curry pork skin.
Well the best curry mee I have tasted is at SS2/10 PJ Restoran OKAY, which is run by father and son. The store started at 7.30am(where the noodle is available) but end up by 9.30am during weekday, 8.30am during weekend. Do need to wait for at least half an hour for you turn.
Yes, this is the Penang style curry mee and is highly recommended. However, very little chance to eat as its operation hours are so short. For similar, can try Sun Sea at OUG but parking is a problem during the morning market.
Choy Kee's curry mee is one of the better ones. After reading so often from a forumer's posts about this shop I decided to give it a try a year ago. I must have patronised this shop about ten times now.
In fact I ate the curry mee with "siew yoke" again this morning. I ordered it with extra cockles. Yummy.
