Hehe.... prepaid. Pay As You Earn, mah.

But due to no fault of yours, if the form arrived late, you can be penalised for late submission.

    cml,

If you had done e-filing previously then they won't send you the form anymore from now on. My tax return is through the tax agent and submitted manually. Maybe they want to discourage this method and get more people to use e-filing and purposely delay sending out the forms.

Have been using papers for decades. I wouldn’t want to do e-filling. Let them do some work to send me a form, receive my form return, get someone to manually go thru the form and have to find a place to keep the form…

If they have problem of my papers submission, very simple..
    - don’t bother to collect tax from me...
    - get the parliament to amend the income tax rules.. hahahhaha

p/s : I think they are going to introduce new process from next year or two years from now. Those who are under the PCB (potongan cukai berjadual) are exempted from submitting annual tax return (BE form) . Tax payers have to check on line whether their total PCB is under-deducted or over-deducted. I believe this is one way to get rid of papers but they just can’t force you to use their e-filling..

The IRB is finalising their "new" FINAL TAX system which I think will be for 2014 onwards... (dunno about 2013 being included).... of which whatever that has been PCB'ed to them would be considered FINAL and there will be NO REFUNDS.... best y'all be getting familiar with this new system or say bye bye to your "overpaid tax" refunds....

From what sketchy information that has been mentioned ~ one is 'supposed' to let your employer know what deductions are to be made before they submit the monthly PCBs to the IRB.

IMHO ~ how the heck are we suppose to know how much is gonna be spent on insurances, books, computers and whatnots to be submitted for refunds/deductions/rebates when the freaking year has NOT finished yet.....

This can. Won't end up in jail. "Avoid" can. "Evade" cannot.

All proper tax planning involves avoidance of tax. Perfectly legal.

Last week i just read from SIn CHew that they won't send form to individual tax payer started this year, you have to log in web and filling on line. For those has been submitted e-filling since last year just ensure submit before 30 April 2014 the date line. However, start March 1, 2014 all can start e-filling.

This the infor from said article.
