Actually all banks are the same... they'll give you crap... but if you are in a position to give them crap, do give them crap back.

Last month I wrote a long article to The Star signed off by Greenbug against "the big, strong and friendly" bank... I didn't even mention the name of the bank, just the once upon a time "big, strong and friendly" bank... I got 4 calls in the same hour after breakfast the same day the letter came out in the paper... I got what I want and more.... sock it to them if you have the means....

Just to share how one of my Indonesian partners conned the bank of their service level. Usually, he and I get ushered into a room, sat on a sofa while the officer went about doing all the stuff we have asked for.... they serve coffee but this partner of mine loves cheesecake... he subtly told me in front of the few officers "aduhai pak, kalau kita di HSBC, sudah ada cheesecake yang sedap ya?" I was caught offguard so I just went along and said "ya, pak. sungguh sedap sekali cheesecake di HSBC"

The next we went there, we had cheesecake with our coffee... apparently all customers in priority banking get their cheesecake too. Now, we need to do it to HSBC Jakarta which actually never served us any cheesecake...

Wah-lau! MAS now back to "expensive" fares again lah... Just checked... Penang to KLIA to Jakarta, it wants RM1,547.00 from me.... was at RM600-700 last 5-6 months...

Not that I don't want to support you.... but Air Asia X only RM930.00 all-in fare to Jakarta - DIRECT SUMMORE from Penang to Jakarta...

Looks like I have to go to Jakarta to work in my old age now and to spend time in my hotel looking at 4 walls... happy now?

Now it seems a former CEO may be brought back in to "transform" MAS again. Only this time he won't have that many things to sell off.

SCMP-Hong Kong reports: 'Chinese police 'beat and detain relatives of missing MH370 passengers''

"In the beginning, Beijing police were protecting us, but their attitude has completely changed," said 38-year-old Cheng Liping, whose husband was on the flight......."I can’t fathom why they’re doing this. I feel so incredibly disappointed."

More reports at The Guardian-UK....'MH370 - beatings and detentions but still no answers'

"I was strangled by a tall officer and almost got choked. I tried to escape from him but about six or seven policemen came up and beat me. My daughter wanted to take a picture for evidence, but a policewoman took her mobile phone away and pushed her to the ground, dragging her hair. She too was forced into the interrogation room. I felt sad and desperate,"
