Well, to those who benefited from the search operations in the other part of the globe, the volcano erupted at the perfect timing..

I am wondering how long this flaperon was sitting in the shore of Reunion Island.

I think the length of time is important to calculate the drift/current to pinpoint the crash site in the vast Indian Ocean.

For example, if it sat there for 6 months, the crash site is nearer to Perth than if it was sat there for 1 month.

Sea shells live in shallow waters & that flaperon must have been in shallow water for a while

To accurately pinpoint the crash site is a big challenge as it has been shown so far.. after the search operation has been going on for more than a year.

Even the crash site can be confirmed, to recover the wreckage from the bottom of Indian Ocean with be a bigger challenge than the search operation.. !!

The $$$ that going to spend on all these search and recovery jobs is better to channel to the victims' family instead of benefiting the individual / company which capitalize on the oppotunities offered by this tragedy..

True, even if they locate the crash site, MH370 may not be able to see the sun light if it is very deep in the ocean.

All I will say is the man meant no malice or harm. Entirely up to public to believe or scoff at it.
Presuming the billions spent with possibly the best technology available..its all zilch, till the fragment was revealed.

Still no sign of the missing plane. The search is suspended after three years of search.
