I don't think the process of shutting down and restarting the water pipelines is a flick of a switch... Malaysia is not that hightech when these things are concerned..

Its got to do with the time required for the water pressure to build up in some areas......

If you read the fine print, it reads:

    "3. JADUAL CATUAN BEKALAN AIR

The item in red means 55 hours ie. if shut down starts at 9am on Sunday, then it's actually more than 2 days as water supply will only be restored on Tuesday about 4pm !!

Surpirse, surprise... water supply came back @ about 9am this morn - 48 hours from the cut on Sun.

Yes, the pressure is weak as the supply can't refill the tank when the downstairs' taps are being used!

Resumed incoming water is "rusty". Guess our tanks will have more "rust deposits" than other periods. I'll have to cleanout the tank when this issue is over. Those with water filters better change the infill sooner or later.

Just pray that rain everyday at least 2 hours or more. Meanwhile use water prudently!...everyone should, rationing no ration.
I don't want to think about whether to believe or not. If it happens , it happen, if not? thats good. Use water as if its a precious commodity at all times..

Water pressure in my house in USJ 6 is losing pressure fast. It's 10.20 am in the morning. The term "relaxed temporaily" is misleading as water rationing is going to continue.

It was reported that the water level in Selangor Dam is low.. Selangor Dam is between Kuala Kubu Baru and Fraser's Hill near Chillings waterfall. If you have frens or relative in the area, can ask them to take a photo to verify.

If I'm right, the problem is 2 fold, perceived or led to believe,
    1) reservoir level LOW or still critical or unsatisfactory.
    2) Insufficient treated water to supply to cater for constant high demand, despite 1). No point the reservoirs are sky high but treatment plant production is lagging or inefficient.

There is also the loss due to the leaky old pipes. Meaning less treated water will reach the consumers. That's non-revenue water.

All faults, defects, breakdown, inefficiency, anything else logical flaws in the entire chain will affect consumers. As usual, say only ISO or ISO whatever.. cakap tak serupa bikin.. Malaysia is a severely flawed and cannot upkeep itself with the times. They don't learn anything even when things go downhill or turn for the worse. Its always like this, never change because there's too much politics, all sorts of self interest schemes that are above the welfare of the rakyat!..YOU DESERVE THIS kind of people governing you all!.. Change of gahmen can't guarantee anything either..its like a very crooked stick, bend back also still crooked!
But when you don't pay the bill, they're VERY EFFICIENT in warning you about cut!
