Hi all
Just asking do we have such pasukan in subang jaya?
Thanks.
I have asked the same question. http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/uploa...unity-Policing
In short, we don't really have one. I am hoping we have similar setup like the one in Penang - Pasukan Peronda Sukarela Negeri Pulau Pinang.
Ya....found SRS in USJ 2 ...that one dated 2011. I dont see any updated news from SRS.
I got a friend who in PPS Penang, got walkie talkie, some support by NGO some by State Gomen. USJ area need this sukarela, too much crime and break-in news...this few years. Im one of victim last year. and this year my neibour got break-in during night and this raining season. Spoke to some neighbours, that I purpose to get WT so that we can communicate each others during nights. else make some security perimeters around each others...
The answer to the question is YES we have one - please read the following editorial in this website...

The ones in my housing area in Batu Ferringhi ronda on scooters, carry rattan batons, torchlights and whistles and they ronda with 2 policemen in the group.

This Kancil was going round USJ 6, to answer your question. Apparently, we do have people providing this voluntary service at www.sjvpu.org (couldn't get the site though..only the Youtube link below).

Not really. I am referring to setup like this. This team is pretty organized. Like one of the forum members mentioned, they have walkie-talkie and ready to be mobilized to the crime scene.
Also, look at the below video and see how they work together to catch the snatch thieves:

we do have like rukun tetangga style ronda for USJ9 .. .some time ago....
done few rounds.....
last night saw a patrol truck around 10pm++, cant see whether its vpu ....
I am thinking out loud.
We may use WhatsApp to communicate. But, it is not really a many-to-many voice call. So, walkie-talkie is a must.
Also, all members must:
1) Pass the background check
2) Go through trainings (what to do)
3) Equip with GPS, torch lights, sticks, handcuffs and protective equipments before going to the crime scenes.
The KPI of the unit is to:
1) Catch minimum of 1 snatch thief a month
2) Beat & torture the snatch thief (but not causing death) before handing over to police
What do you think?
Yes, we need some parties with strong financial background to support this initiative. Get someone with security forces background to lead and execute.
I can't wait to join "Pasukan Peronda Sukarela Subang Jaya".
yep...
after all.. my house was broken into few years back.. it still haunts us...
now hearing things must go and check.... and brought along my baseball bat....
