my first thought will be : do they have a job permit ?
my second thought will be : if they do not have a job permit, are they eligible to apply for one ?
I did think of employing foreigners, but the possibility of me getting arrested for employing foreigners without job permit stop me from doing it.
Refugees or not, they are still foreigners, and unless they have a job permit or some chop in their passports that says they are entitled to work. Better don't run afoul of immigration law !

If you double check with the immigration dept. it is NO! Unless if you can get the written permission from the dept.

I read from some website that it is alright to hire myanmar with real UN card.
In the past, it was not allowed but then they allow it recently. Can't remember the website url

Don't ask those govt bodies general clerk, different people will give you different answers !
This is not the first time you have lived in Malaysia, you should know by now this 'phenomenon'.

You should go to the UN refugees in KL to confirm instead of asking govt officials. They will be able to give you the right govt contact person to ask that you can hire myanmar refugees.

Many coffee shops have hired them before.

As with many things in Bolehland it is OK if you don't get caught. And if you do get caught it is still OK if you are in the right camp.

Hmmm..must be desperate situation to resort or think of refugee resource for labor...
Banks, Post office almost never have full staff at all front counters...I don't think they'd ever think of manning them with some refugees to serve customers.. Perplexing!
