    听说昨天的家协延续大会顺利完成了,真是太好了。

    请问昨天校长有没有宣布从明天开始,下午的活动照常进行呢,还是继续跟从 6月25 日的通告那就是继续暂停至另行通知为止 ?

OMG What is happening to this school ?

I got a phone call from my frantic children this morning saying that school is dismissing early, please come and fetch them and now a sports day out of the blue ?

Is the headmaster so incompetent in management and communications ?

Oh!…think on the positive side! May be the HM is training your kids to handle “crisis” and building their “foresight” to anticipate future.

My understanding is, based on the below notice disseminated last week due to the haze:

Latest confirmation 29/6/13 : there will be no afternoon activities until further notice
    最新消息 29/6/13 :下午活动及进修班暂停,直至另行通知

So by right today no afternoon activities also, until further notice.

Every LH parent knows that the HM dislikes the forum for exposing the school management's shortcomings especially in communication. CM has been playing an important role in the last few years to bridge this gap for the parents and consequently, CM has gained many supporters over the years for his efforts. Parents like myself appreciate his efforts and to an extent, we hoped that he will renegade on his promise to continue participating here.

The HM should improve the school's communication system by issuing prompt notices, stop the verbal notices (or at least complement it with official notices), maintain a good updated website and blog, so that parents do not have to seek out the forum for updated information. Instead, the school chosed to ignore the parents' suggestions and thus pushed more and more parents on to the forum.

This is a very funny kind of strategy if you ask me. I would have thought that if you want to minimise the influence of someone, you improve to pull more people away but instead, the HM pushes more and more people to support the forum. I am sure there must a logic somewhere that I missed or is it just plain incompetency on the part of the school administration ?

Whatever it is, if the school doesn't improve on this vital aspect of communication, don't be surprised if this new forum will also one day turn hostile against them for lack of management competency. I am already disappointed now.

Apparently, the children were told that all afternoon activities will restart this week in a verbal announcement last Friday. That is why everyone is ready today. That is the problem with the school's preference for verbal announcement over proper official notices. I hope they will change/improve upon this practice soon.

Anyway, my children showed me the notice just now in the car.

I got to know the 'sports day' is on this coming thursday. This info is from a std 4 girl. I did ask further on the afternoon activities, is school bag required on that day... she says that info was no informed. I went on and ask " will the children be awarded with trophy?" ... she says no idea

Oh ya, one more question, did upper standard students got the notice ? No more verbal ?

If yes, ya, a KUDO to school !!

If can, try to minimize any verbal announcement in class, children will come back with all sort of stories, some really sound weird ...
