BIG TQ CM for starting this thread! No doubt been archived but it has moved to Part 2…the journey and adventure continue on….

Being a new parent in LH, I find this thread served as a good information and knowledge tool to those new miserable parents, who caught culture shock when they send their young children to this HPS!

Let’s the journey continue on with more sharing of school information and view exchange of good parental tips and child education!

CM, do drop by and say Hello! And shout out-loud when you see something goes wrong....

Thank You, currymee for everything. We all have benefitted a lot. But won't be the same without your inputs.

Would like to ask all parents of Std 4 and 3 whether your child mentioned that today had to spend whole day in the hall, doing homework
on the floor ! Somehow classes where teachers were absent had to be grouped together with those with class teachers in a hall and all they could do was sprawled on the floor writing. A little teaching was done, apparently. What happened ??? !!!

I got a big surprise to read currymee's goodbye as I thought he was kidding. I think we should respect his decision and move on. Thank you CM for your good service to the parents all these years.

CM has raised some pertinent points on the school weaknesses in communications to the parents and has suggested some good solutions. I hope the school headmaster will take note and necessary steps to address them even though he may dislike or disagree with CM on other matters.

At the end of the day, what all parents want is a system that is good and beneficial to all. It does not matter who takes the credits so long as the work gets done.

    My 2 cents.

I will be attending tomorrow's PIBG AGM. The extra tuition issue has yet to be resolved. There is still no official notice from the school and they are breaking MOE guidelines.

I know it isnot easy for the brand new team of ajk. Last time i was chosen by my HM to be the auditor of school koperasi, i cant sleep well coz i am scared to bear the resposibilities of anything deal with money. Have to attend four days for auditor course.......what a stressful and wasteful of my teaching time...anyway all the best to the new team.

And if PIBG needs money to run activities, kindly state the purpose and the amount. My mindset is such that if i cant contribute physically, i contribute financially as a support and appreciation of those who sacrifice their time to contribute their effort to create something good for me.

Call to my fellow Christian Parents to attend

Currymee closed down the "old" forum as a result of a promise made for the PIBG AGM be held on a Saturday (today) to allow us (Christians) to attend and play an active role.

    Let us be there.

    CM,

I think you should rejoin the forum if things turn chaotic again in the PIBG AGM this afternoon. If it does, it means the sincerity of the school to cooperate and work with the parents is not there and that parents may have to fend for ourselves again. If that is the case, I urge you to reconsider and continue your sterling contributions. Many of us don't have the experience, inside knowledge and network that you have build over the years.

You have kept your word and promise. It is appreciated.

I actually have no plans to come back to the "new" forum as promised but after hearing what the HM had said in the PIBG AGM this afternoon that the parents in forum are spreading "rumours" about extra tuition being "COMPULSARY" (official letters below) when it is not meant to be .... can always opt-out (verbal announcements) ...

OK, Mr HM, please give me YOUR definition of the word (wajib) for kelas tambahan in the following OFFICIAL letters by you ... or let me know which Bahasa Malaysia/Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Indonesia dictionary that you use ... unless "wajib" in those letters is a newly-coined Mandarin Hanyu Pinyin by you as "wa-jib" - read as "WOR (as in I ) CHEAT" ...

I also heard that you mentioned that CLASS TEACHERS CANNOT TEACH/CONTINUE NORMAL LESSONS into the kelas tambahan (against JPS guidelines) ... ok, have it MINUTED as proof or issue a circular/notice, or is it another "kopitiam talk" ... not worth the hot air ...

or this later on - amendment for Std 1 and 2 ...

Everyday is a good day for GOOD FOOD and a GOOD LAUGH
