    elea88,

As far as I know, the co-curriculum schedules are not out yet. Most of the co-cu programmes will start after CNY. I trust the school will keep the parents informed with proper documentation/notices on the school website.

A suggestion for school website on co-cu: Please upload ALL the individual co-cu participation forms and time-table for parents to download and view online. At least, if our children wants to take part but did not manage to get the forms, there is still an opportunity for them to participate. I am sure the forms are being printed and prepared in school, so just make an extra PDF copy and upload for us. Thank you. You also save some costs in printing

    Bantuan Khas Awal Persekolahan RM100

Parents may be wondering when will the money of Bantuan Khas Awal Persekolahan be distributed to the students.

According the Headmaster’s speech during the school assembly. The money will be distributed to students some time after the Chinese New Year.

The exact date cannot be disclosed here as it involves a huge sum of money, and we would like to avoid any incidents. The children will be informed soon when everything is ready.
I collected today for my daughter who is in Secondary school.

School just started and she has already been punished at least 4 times - beat on hands I admit she is a day-dreamer but I hope that the teachers can be a bit lenient. Also, I wish they would give me more feedback to guide my child as best as I can (since I am a banana) - I was really disappointed that there wasn't a 'Report Card' day for parents to meet teachers after completing Std 1.
Cheer leading is good. Exercise lungs and exercise body. Very positive activity. If not mistaken is RM 60.00. However, please note, that as she advances in Cheer leading there will be lots of performance and competitions. And sometimes training will be during school hours. When my daughter was in Std 4, her teacher informed her that if her homework, mok sia..etc results does not improve, she cannot go for cheer classes anymore. Since she was really interested in Cheer, she really make the effort to improve on her studies.

WELL DONE to the school and PIBG AJK on Extra Tuition 2014

Well done to the school and PIBG AJK for the prompt notices on the extra tuition with proper amount stated - THANK YOU

I have also uploaded the BM version on the FB parents' group files for documentation.

As you can see, LH can do things PROPERLY AND CORRECTLY, if you really want to

BTW, please also include the notices for Std 6. Right now, it is only for Std 3-5.

Extracted from my post in the FB group:

Sarah Leng - you can always pull out by writing in. That is your fundamental rights at all times.

If you are paying, there cannot be any compulsion or coercion by the school and teachers on the students to attend. If they do so, they are breaking the Malaysian law under Penal Code for "extortion" . The penalties are fine, rotan and jail for the HM and teachers involved.

I have highlighted this legal aspect many many times in the usj parents forum in 2013 on these "illegal" actions by the school last year. Thankfully, I am glad that the school has taken heed and notice for 2014.

As parents, we do not desire any negative confrontations with the school and prefer to work together. At the same time, we hope the school will respect certain fundamental rights of parents esp in giving us CHOICES and OPTIONS in writing (notices) esp when money is involved.

They are doing that PROPERLY and CORRECTLY now and that is all, as a parent, I ask and expect from the school.

Extracted from FB group - a comment by Sydney Mak (PIBG AJK Chairperson for 2013/2014) to Sarah Leng

(Sydney Mak) - Sarah Leng, from the conversation i had with hm yesterday, he said it is optional. Parents should decide what is best for their own children.

They squeezed almost everything into Thurs, Fri and Sat... !!

The arrangement of CCA tells a story – the CCA is for show, to give way to extra class/tuition....

    Hi all,
Sphere can I get the all the forms? My std 1 daughter wanted to join the modern dance and cheer leading class. But unfortunately there is no form for her.
I am really disappointed and unsure how the teacher distribute the form to the students. I can't get this from the PIBG blog too.
    Thanks.
