In my company, we have to apply leave 3 days IN ADVANCE

Are you going to compensate me for taking emergency leave (EL) ?

Do you plan your work ?
My son's teacher said this is due to security factor. Can't let people know that the school is having RM 200k on certain date. =€×£#&$^÷×#

I m not LH school teacher, I cannot take leave just like that, nor I can go in and out the school any time i want.

Security issue? The hm can apply to be escorted by police, like some schools. Or, may i ask, what is urr security guard doing?

One more lesson for lh hm. Please be smart in giving a valid reason to cover up ur incapability in the future. Excuses like cannot let people know when u hold large sum of money, jps agrees to compulsory tuition (as mentioned in AGM 2013), and other silly excuses which i find it ridiculous (the best is, according to the pibg blog that teachers went overseas holidays thus no tuition for std6-to-be students during school holidays 2013)......clap clap clap, a big round of applause for such excuses which you think all of us are convinced. Yes, I am convinced coz my brain vibrates at the same frequency as yours. Most of the time, I am off frequency from those smart one, but as long as I achieve resonance with you and your gang, I can survive under your management.

    Joker la!

LH should be more worried about internal security than external when money is concerned. Look at what happened to RM292k !!

Even the new chinese school in Putra Height is managing it better. Kudos to the headmistress.

HPS school management is slacking. Better buckle up.

Not nice or fair to say that. The rm292k and this rm200k are two totally separate situations.

I do not agree with how the rm292k issue is handled by the school . They could have done better. They have no one to blame but themselves for mishandling the whole transfer.

My daughter's class teacher was very efficient in her task. I asked her if the school knows how much difficulties the parents have to go through with short notice to get leave.

She said she understands and will bring the matter up with school administration to avoid such difficulties and ill feelings in the future.

She was so diplomatic until I cannot be angry. I think the school admin can learn some public relations skills from her.

    Standard 6 tuition.... (extract from http://lhpibg.blogspot.com/ )

Further to my earlier announcement (16/01/15) ,Our AJK had held a meeting on 17 January 2015 and voted in favour of conducting tuition classes AFTER AGM approval has been obtained . Our AGM is scheduled for 7 March 2015 so tuition should commence by the end of March . To recap, AGM approval is needed because all fee paying activities must be approved by PIBG AGM.

I was one of the AJK members who voted in favour of an early start but I was in the minority. However, the school management has its own discretion to conduct free (no collection of fees or subscription from students ) classes or activities without the need to obtain PIBG approval.

While some parents have made private arrangement for their children to attend tuition classes, it is also gratifying to know some parents are using this opportunity to pay closer attention to their children’s homework and spend quality time with them.

....... seems not only Mr Soon is working hard for the Standard 6 students. Special thanks to Mr Ken Koo too for his assistance towards the parents and executing it the correct way.

Actually, if the school gives out form to let students opt in, i don't see any issue of starting the tuition early. Someone dare to sacrifice students' studies for his own benefits. Hope no one is taking revenge? You vote me out, so when i distribute resources, you don't blame me i leave you out. What else do you want? Sound similar? The relevant party has forgotten they are there to serve everyone.

if my child is in std 6 now, how will I react? Will I blame the YDP for not a popular figure to the top management of the school, resulting
The school reacts in such a way? Will I continue to fight and choose our representative? Think think think.

I think i will. For the betterment of the more generations to come. That is why I am in education line.

Some parents really do not know how to raise their children. So pitiful and sad that their children got such "useless" parents who do not know how to teach them to be discipline, self learning and independent in study at Standard 6. These children are gone case in secondary school when they will listen to the parents even less but will have more tuition. Sadly, we have parents who are so kiasu and think that school extra tuition is a solution to their own failures as parents to guide their children.

Please send your children for extra tuition if they are weak in certain subjects and not because you are kiasu.

Currymee emailed and said that it is not nice to label parents as "useless" and kiasu as some parents really do not have the confidence or capability to guide their children' studies.

I disagree with his view because what I am trying to emphasise is about raising kids to be discipline, self reliant and independent that will benefit them beyond just academic studies and scoring in exams.

Please think and look long term and not just UPSR before you said my comments are "not nice" I hope your forum ban will continue to be long.

My daughter passed the selection of BM paper for UPSR 2015 today. Basically, she said that the teacher encouraged all to pick Bahasa Melayu Sekolah Kebangsaan instead of Bahasa Melayu Sekolah Jenis Kebangasaan.

    Questions :
    1. What's the diff By the way these two?
    2. Lick Hung is Jenis Kebangsaan, why are we choosing Kebangsaan paper?
    3. What will happen if we decided to opt for Jenis Kebangsaan?

    1. Both have same format .sk is tougher
Sjkc karangan is easy but hard to get A.
Sk karangan easier to score A but pemahaman has more vocab.

    2. so that lh students are well prepared for secondary . A lot of secondary subjects are in bm.

    3. I am not sure. just let children try sk paper.
i feel results r not important but let them go through and experience the process.
