Meanwhile, my dish dinner at the pool is cancelled for the next 2 weeks or more as I might be creating more haze with my oven dish and Babi Q pit for two kiddies parties.

Sharp retort from Indonesian minister to Malaysia Link@MI
"The Indonesian response to Malaysian criticism on the haze was to name only eight companies that are contributing to the pollution – all owned by Malaysian investors........."
Companies Named > See Link above
Actually does it matter whether it's Malaysian or singapore or American???? If they break the laws, the Indonesian govt should prosecute them... They can name them to shame them but Malaysian Govt can't meddle with what they do over there... Can only hold table talk between the Tan Sri's and Datuks, will that work?? I doubt so...

Don’t know why, I actually feel psychologically better with the indon haze blanketing this 1land…
Well, people who paid blardy lots of tax may (I say may) have no problem to install multiple units of ionizer and super-duper air purifier inside their home, from bedroom to bathroom...
Those apanama (non-tax payers, especially) who voted the 1regim would be the walking air cleaners or walking air fliters to suck all the particles (coarse, small, fine and nano fine) on the air…![]()
Take comparison if some foreigner is caught for drugs at the airport, no matter peddler, distributor, mule..they'll be eventually convicted and capital punishment, little or no avenue for home country to save the fler.
Indonesia MUST prosecute and convict them in the same analogy.
While we are on the subject of air quality I wonder why type of air cleaners are used by forummers during this hazy period. I use an Isukoshi water type air cleaner and It has served me well over the years. No need for air filters. I just change the water and it is effective for my use. It is similar in technology to my Clean-aire air filter. http://www.ecosinfo.com/product/en_US/R9223/main.html
Any mid range price air cleaners to recommend? I may shop for a more effective air cleaner if the API goes up >400 but I do not want to spend RM1k..preferably below RM500. Saw some in Harvey Norman. Thanking you in anticipation. Here's a reference to the types of air purifiers. My main concern for the non water based air filters is that they generate ozone which is not health to inhale.

One of the parties host of the 21 year old kiddies dun wanna to cancel dinner dish - but the Mean Olde Chef gotta to say "I am going to Balik Kampung hastily for during the hazy week"
BTW, is it childish or what when cloud seeding cannot be carried out because of the dry and cloudless weather according Department of Environment (DOE) director-general Datuk Halimah Hassan said later in the same day. http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp...106&sec=nation while Cloud seeding operations will be carried out in worst haze affected areas in the country, said Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Datuk Seri G Palanivel in a statement earlier in the day at 3p.m. http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp...847&sec=nation
This is very confusing - should we listen to Head of Department of Environment or Ministar of Natural Resources and Different Environment?![]()

In situation like this, ALWAYS LISTEN TO THE TOP CIVIL SERVANT (esp for Science and Environment related Ministeries) as they are usually university professors/assoc profs, so they "should know" what they are talking about compared to POLICTIANS ...Yup, I don't know this lady but I know her bosses - KSU and TKSU of MOSTI, real smart alecs !!
And the DG of Met Office is 100% RIGHT - if there is no right type of clouds (esp the CUMULO-NIMBUS genre - lowest strata clouds with highest stauration of water) - forget it ... hope I get this right trying to recall from my Form 5 Geography !!!!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nimbus_cloud

Politicians know nuts...
And cloud seeding is not "making something out of nothing", it's more like "make something smaller to something big"... It needs the 'base' cloud of suitable size to make it rain.. And as we can see day in day out, big cloud doesn't always rain down... Only if it's 'overloaded', then only it pours.
Rain dance? Oppa Gangnam Style music should be fine with me...
