I have heard a lot of praise for Hannah Yeoh…

Can anyone give a tangible contribution from her..

    Nothing against her, just curious..

She works hard, Rhiga-san, damn hard. You can see her at service centre sometimes even up to 11pm when she was pregnant with her second child. Conscientious too. And keeps her promises. Fights for the underdogs. That is the Hannah I know even when she was chosen in 2008 coz I worked in her campaign back then as I was a resident of Kota Kemuning but still had a house in USJ4.

And she's a smart cookie too...

p.s. but then I also worked in Loh Gwo Burne's campaign too... duh...

Yup.. I heard she is very hard-working too.

The fact she is re-elected by the people in her constituency with even bigger majority is a testimony of how well her effort is recognized. I think she has the second biggest majority in Selangor after Teresa Kuok..

I asked the question because I would like to know something significant from her which I don’t know, apart from a dedicated and hard-working ADUN.

I try to sheild myself from all the municipal nonsenses and hence I don’t really get in touch with the local and municipal probelms that I guess is one of the main reasons many people search this forum. I draw this conclusion from the thread .. “tell it to mpsj councilor..”

I have deeper impression of people like the PKR MP for Selayang, William Leong who relentlessly for the past 8 years stand with the Rawang residents to fight against the high-tension cables from TNB, for example.

Imo, I would prefer Hannah to be an ADUN/state exco and make structural changes to improve . It is a waste for a good ADUN to run an admin job in the assembly hall.

I think her work has been more local than on issues that affect the nation. People like tony pua and William leong are more national in their approach so it is quite difficult to compare their contributions. She needs to bring up those issues to the government servants who may not be very helpful or responsive as they always feel that pakatan is opposition.

I complained to her about the danger posed by the I-beams placed across Persiaran Kewajipan about two weeks ago. Haven't received any reply from her. Guess she is too busy adjusting to her new role as Speaker to deal with insignificant problems like this:

Is it the role of an ADUN to handle such complaints or should the MBSJ be the right channel?

Honestly, if we forward every single complaint on every single street lamp which isn't working or some pot holes on some roads to Hannah Yeoh, she wouldn't even have time to think then !!! And then we can fire every one in MPSJ because Hannah Yeoh will take all our complaints.

She is a MP , State Speaker , Wife and Mother as well ... Give her a break ....

Alvin. She did answer my congratulatory message to her for being appointed the first female state speaker in the country. This is not about a trivial street lamp or pot hole complaint as you so succinctly put it. This involves potential loss of lives or injury to daily users of Persiaran Kewajipan due to Prasarana's lack of safety pro-activeness. This issue has been brought up by another forum-er in another earlier thread. Note the recent accident where a crane fell off a transporter and crashed onto a car in Subang? There was another accident that happened a few month's back.

Last year, Rajiv handled a lot of the major issues we brought up to her. This involved a lot of the USJ6 resident's association issues raised with Prasarana and she was kind enough to mediate. Now, I'm not too sure as Rajiv has been elected an ADUN. YB Hannah's additional responsibilities means that less of these "issues" can be looked into by her? I apologise for being so inconsiderate and heartless. I am not one to bring up trivial issues as I do not want to count among the unfortunate statistics due to Prasrana's carelessness. Do you want to be the first one?

I am referring to the present Prasarana LRT work along Persiaran Kewajipan near to Goodyear Court 6 which is the responsibility of Prasarana...not the road which is the purview of JKR.
