A few weeks ago, I stopped to ask for directions at a BN post in Pandan Jaya,
and happened to have discussion with them about the rampant crime and
    Mat Rempit menace.

They agreed that there were only two solutions to this :

    1. Bring back the ISA in full force.

    2. Open back Pulau Jerejak and throw 100 of these low-life scum in there for a start.

Better still, follow the footsteps of China and throw these vermin in front of a firing squad
    without hesitation.

iSayman.....disagree with 1 and 2 option....but agreeable to the suggestion of " you are fired China gangster-style "

ISA may be used as blanket for Ubah non gangsters style while Pulau Jerejak one night hotel in costs Rm388 Liow. So, Kenot, kenot, Kenot

You flers no need to fantasize on current capital punishment for petty criminals. British and Indian based law and justice prevail here in the courts.
Maybe they should increase whipping for these petty criminals. Belum kena scarred for life tak tahu lagi!

Nowadays these robbers are nuts! Horrifying and dangerous. They prefer to just stab/slash/whack straight away so there's no resistance and easier to get away when the victim is helpless and in shock. Someone told me of an exec friend opening the office door in the AM with someone coming up behind her; slashed her hands (nearly severed) and then made off with her handbag. No need for words. These scumbags are around waiting for an opportunity to strike, so be very vigilant and cautious when in isolated places. Police? What police? It's true they have loads of paperwork but also have that 'sudah lali' attitude. So it's one for one's self and loved ones.
Don't just stand there, join in the confusion

Nuts is not exactly to figure these criminal elements. They're bold, ruthless, merciless, very daring and committing crimes not often seen in the past. I think they're bolder than Botak Chin!
We're now hearing in the news.
Murder or assassination, brutally shot at point blank by unknown individuals or motives.
Armed robbery at 24hr convenience stores, or shops, even restaurants full of people.
Snatch thieving that result in very critical fatality or death
ATM being broken into or robbed and attempting haul the whole machine out of some bank.
House breaking in numerous housing areas.
Kidnapping. Nayati case? Very daring! Little William Yau.. unsolved case?
Rape of foreign tourist by some questionable taxi cab driver...Local Taxi industry in the news again for the wrong reasons!
More and more gated residential areas that its a hassle to even pay a visit to your best friend or hand over something.
Every high rise apartment security is almost a mandatory requirement. As bad as going through some immigration check point. Yes, we have reached this kind of stage, desperate measures for desperate times!
Since long ago, its almost standard that every home must be grilled up, fenced or walled up, simply and primarily for security measure. Its almost never for architectural aesthetics or design in mind!
Add on latest technology, alarms and CCTV is available to homes to monitor general security. I once thought CCTV was only for banks and high security buildings. Drastic measures in play again!
    The list goes on.

All the above is quite sufficient to rate this country as potentially unsafe even for its own citizens where I reckon everyone is more vulnerable now to some misfortune when out working, business or pleasure. My the Almighty have mercy on you and guard you.
    I rest my case.

Of course crime rate is down; haven't you read the statistics. All these are "isolated incidents" and a perception problem. PRDM must spend more to correct this problem (the perception, I mean)
