For anyone who may want halal CKT, USJ 7 warong area 6th lot from the furthest end lot, only evening onwards. Big chubby chap, but very friendly fellow. RM 3.50 for plain.
OK, wont argue with people insisting its better with some added ingredient. Free world to choose your pick. Cheers!

U mean the coffeeshop behind Sri Melur?
If yes, the CKT there is not bad.. no lard but taste better than a lot of CKT stalls in Subang/USJ... The husband and wife team has been running the same stall for at least 10 years. The husband fries, the wife serves. And she's chatty and friendly and always dressed young...

But their portions are small and expensive! The husband meticulously counts the "strings" of hor-fun to ensure you won't get an extra 'string'!! Sometimes he accidentally puts in more and very quickly removes them before the wife starts frying!

I would like to recommend the CKT stall at Wong Shun Kee kopitiam in SS14 (The corner shoplot hosting the famous LFC)

The stall proprietor Lim is now using lard to cook the CKT. He is quite generous with the serving portion.
Go early as it usually runs out by mid morning.
The CKT goes down well with the kopitiam's kopi O or teh si.

Exactly my observation too! the husband's job is only counting `strings' & collect $$. Why so `kiam siap' on the portion when ppl pay them dearly for a plate of CKT that can't fill up their stomach

The key ingredient for Char Koay Teow & Koay Teow Soup is 'Chu Yeau Char'. Some of the places I have been to have no 'CYC'.

there's a possibility that he was referring to the CKT inside Mei Sek in USJ14.. Not the CKT at the row behind, with the uncle weighing every strain of noodle by hand...
