It is not about migration, it is about one’s mindset.

It is easy to talk about happy stories of others but people don’t really go deeper to understand how others made the big changes in their life. People always think others have a straight forward, easy life whereas they have a more complex life..

They blame the weak local currency for their predicament without actually looking at the surroundings why other locals can propser with this weak currency ?? Also, they are many PRC folks who partake in the MM2H program, are you telling me the mainland Chinese were earning a stronger currency at home vs the MYR ??

Sometimes, I feel very sorry for people who choose not to do anything when they still can. Well, God only helps those who wanna help themselves. I think this is golden rules..

You talk about PRC folks?...you think its all easily stereotyped and summarized in one paragraph. You can probably stereotype Malaysia and Singapore, but not China. Its a huge huge country with lots of diversity. There's even Russians or Caucasians as Chinese citizens in the far corners of their borders, I don't think migration ever crossed their minds, if I were to guess right. China isn't a homogeneous civilization for centuries..maybe Japan is and forever still is. If I have the knowledge to write study papers and thereon become a professor of China economics there. So don't quote examples which is far too subjective and viewed from many angles. MMH2 program is not a very popular program and not everyone from everywhere takes it up. I don't even hear it become some common topic of discussion for years till its mentioned here.

    Who stereotyped PRC folks ??

First, someone said because pound sterling is 5 times bigger than MYR, so it is easy for people who earn in pound sterling to come here. Then someone also blame the MYR as shringgit. I am just merely responding to him that - why PRC folks who are earning the weaker Renminbi can come here ??

As a matter of fact, the PRC folks top the list as the biggest applicants of the MM2H program although Japanese is the biggest group who have migrated here so far via the program.

Just say you're responding to ME... I said all that..no need to mention "someone". Everyone I know blame the shringgit for a lot of woes and a disturbing trend..just that they don't say it out loud or come to THIS forum and say so...but they know it and will admit openly when mentioned. I say it once a while openly and nothing to be ashamed of truth or fact be it known. I don't need to hide this feeling. Its no secret anyway. They exchange at the rate our shringgit is depreciating, they gain more purchasing power. What's there more logic to understand?

Took the bait, line and sinker...proves my point right!..he sure see this wan!
Its NOT about the late David. The point is different people have their own view and interpretation of a given scene. It can be seen as anything from offensive, rude, impertinent to appropriate. In this case here in Malaysia right now, its trouble brewing. 8pm news TV3 today, its sensationalized.

This chicken rice stall in a hawker center in Singapore is not an ordinary stall. This is the only chicken rice stall in the world that was awarded Michelin 1 star !! The proprietor is a Malaysian from Ipoh, he worked his way up to establish what he is today. You can see the positive attributes of him facing the challenges in life.

    http://www.sinchew.com.my/node/15688...B4%BD%E5%94%AE

A few international restaurants have approached him for business venture but he is not interested. However, in a recent interview, he said he is negotiating with an interested party to sell his secret recipe for SGD2 million (about RM6 million) !!

Unlike some people who only know how to complain about their life, who love to complain about everything and anything day and night, it is no surprise that life for these people are full of crap that goes on and on... what a pathetic life !!
