    Yes, I prefer Taiwanese tea..

I have doubt of PRC merchants (don't know what they add to the tea leaves.. )

I have better confidence in Taiwan food quality control, and the merchant's compliance to the quality control system..

    Cramp… This is weird.

Mind share more about the “cramp” ?

When I go to those tea shops I find those fellas selling the tea to have a kind of attitude. Most of the labels are in chinese and for a banana like me if i was to ask them to explain to me they give me one kind of look. Just because we dont read chinese, they assume we know nuts about chinese tea and they adopt a condescending attitude. turns me off so I rather buy from the internet. Even purple cane sells on line and before i buy I can read up on those teas that i would like to buy. But at the end of the day its about tasting it yourself and if you like it or not. Its all trail and error for me and so far I have managed to find a few decent teas as decent prices. Generally you get what you paid for.

I learned never to eat and drink at the same time. But putting it to consistent practice is another matter because of some obvious reasons...too much msg?? I realize I should finish the meal first, then wait for quite a while, then drink, but no ice cold drinks which is bad. Warm to near hot plain water would be good. Just like I learned, its good to eat fruits with an empty stomach, not after some full meal as if its dessert.

At least for health sake, at every morning without fail, after woken, its 2 big glasses of warm water down!..I know it serves to flush my filthy system the least it'll do. Then consume whatever you like later on. Been doing this for 2 decades now..same rigmarole every morning unless I'm somewhere else with no plain water around.

BTW..maybe this thread can be aptly titled " Hijacking, detour, derail tok kok, tok bull thread,,..anything goes..its all allowed!"
Save for no insults, swearing and bitching around"

Maybe if you or anyone else, one have to create or go the extra mile and cook from home, lunch from home...eat out minimally...for health sake. What more is obvious of outside food in this era? Food from fast food chains ARE THE VERY WORST culprits! MSG and fried fried fried, greasy greasy! I bet even your yummy Nasi Kandar from USJ is so tainted with MSG!
My son and DIL are packing home cooked lunch for every working day. No eating out. Yes..DIL cook when back home after work for both. This isn't really to save money (maybe it is too) but I think its a good practice. I fully support them. Lifestyle just have to change lah!..Don't know how to cook isn't a valid excuse....everything can learn wan!!!
This is Malaysia 2013!...how to buy terrace house at current prices??????

i luv this thread for the mongolian fillies and china beer. Seriously, a mongolian beauty with catwalk quality can be 'hired' as an inhouse full-servicing companion, cook, maid, sleeping dictionary, bed warmer, masseuse, driver, body guard, head turner etcetera etcetera ecetera in major cities (like beijing & shanghai...some say, KL also No surprises here...BTW did i mention up there that these mongolian hotties also come in au-naturel green eyes, some say blue also got leh. And since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the price ranges from USD600 to C4booming high level per month. It all depend on the person looking & his nego skills lah.

Is this tsin tao beer a tad to sweet? If it cheap maybe its a clone? a tsing tao fake beer?

I think the tsingtao is real. Its just that it has been legitimised with an administrative procedure. what happens is a few container load of this beer would come in and it is purposely detained for not having paid duties. There will be a fall guy who will be subject to the 'legal process' . In the meantime these consficated beer would be 'auctioned' and it is bought by the same people who arranged for it and since the process is 'cornered' its only a nominal sum. The buyer is issued with proper documentations and voila it becomes a legal product to be sold openly. Sounds too incredible ?

cml...aha! it sounded similar to all the submarined liquor/beer/spirits serve in almost all the fullmoon parties up the east coast islands...YES!

bslee, u can lah...legitimately some more

BTW, shanghai speak can be very loud, guttural and to 'outsiders' rude, insulting and 'asking for a fight'...My shanghainese cousin's wife acted as our bargain-hunter negotiator...her style (i loosely translate) " ~ WHAT R U SAYING// SO EXPENSIVE? WHAT R U? A SHARK? U SELL TO YOUR OWN MOTHER!" and promptly stomped away with a disgusting look and daggers in her eyes... and I thought i am fierce & tough negotiator! *cringe*

Political news get me all riled up so I tend to not want to read about it in the papers but I will do the right thing at the ballot box. That day is going to be soon, isn't it? Can hardly wait.

Did you say the Carpetman? I have to say that The Carpetman has a nice ring to it. Kinda evil, kinda sexy too....don't you think so?

Stainless steel kettle is the way to go. I'm impressed by the quality of Buffalo and will probably buy one in the future. What is the price range again?
