This one is from a medieval town in Czech republic (can’t remember the name, pretty long and is not in English)

When I see pics of these old cities or towns, it really dawns on me how those countries choose to preserve their heritage and old world charm to the fullest possible. Here in Malaysia?.. I think preservation is anything but fiction and not in the vocabulary. KL is so scarred with so called modernization looking really horrible at numerous areas, IMHO. I've seen lots of very old historic and archived pictures of KL and some other towns, many of Penang, Singapore during colonial times. So amazed by the old world charm that KL possessed in that era.

Numerous pics here, pick sets of Malaya or Malaysia.

Aprat from heritage preservation, what impressed me is always the water… water in the river and lake..

This is a river flows through Zurich, Switzerland.

This is Luzern lake, central Switzerland.

Ok, last photo from me in this talk anything thread..

Danube river bends at Budapest, Hungary.. this bend is reportedly the most beautiful part of Danube in whole Europe.

You can see this (exactly the same scene) in the movie “Transporter 3" by Jason Statham, and “ Mission Impossible 4 : The Ghost Protocol” by Tom Cruise.

I took a transport to a hill to snap this photo.

I like this photo… I enlarged it to 20R, framed it with polished aluminum and hang it in my guest washroom ..

Yeah Rhiga-san.... they keep their environment clean. I lived in Vevey (Switzerland) on the Lake Geneva.... for almost a year when I did my Management Development Programme with a Swiss food company back in 1986 at IMEDE.... the water then was so clear and clean.... and it was still clean during my recent visit to show wifey where I always sit during the summer to watch the nudists walk by...

Finally its come to this. Restaurant/s employ armed guard.
Didn't I say its so real that crime in this land is out of hand with unseen or unheard of criminal activity in this land?. PDRM can only do so much, so people have to do something to protect their interest.
Its happened. Previously only jewelry stores or banks have guards. Imagine now guards at restaurants.. Certainly no laughing matter. Its a drastic measure now very real. Eating out pose risk!

Believe you me, more eateries will follow suit. This is added incentive to entice customers to their restaurant!

"Come and dine in our restaurant. Super delicious menu, reasonable pricing, attentive waitresses at your service, not to mention armed guards to ensure your safety. So come and dine in comfort and peace. Bad guys never dare eat here!"

"Armed" as with only one guard with a big stick...I don't think its adequate but better than nothing at all. All needed is some gang of young fierce and violent flers with parang or whatever..the guard is likely to be done in and its back to square one. Do note that from videos or whatever...its like a quick mob attack and very daring.
Restaurant proprietors better think of a more secure strategy. Should I suggest some trigger happy but trained ex-cop??? Drastic measures for perilous times..YES!..its no perception anymore! Sometimes I think those robbers deserve to be shot at, then linger with tremendous pain at hospital! Belum kena belum tahu sakitnya!!!!! Parang don't argue with man with gun!!...

BTW, notice there's a under the shade 2-3 policemen beat at Sect 11 PJ, facing Sri Paandi Banana Leaf restaurant. I think its a 24 hour police beat.

    Tell that to Ron Jeremy!

Jokes aside, this doesn't augur well for the future. With security lacking and robbers/thieves running loose, we will always be looking back over our shoulders, worried sick about bad guys attacking us unawares. Our boys in blue ought to put in more effort to fight crime now. Focus less on other things. Fighting crime should be top priority. To quote BsLee, "no ifs, no buts". Just do it, boys!

I'm sure its nothing in relation to Ron Jeremy AFAIK..
Hey! perhaps its now time for a good business venture with the right connections and resource.
Open a security company offering well trained firearmed guards specifically trained to fend off attacks in public areas. Good marketing skilled executive should be able to convince prosperous restaurants to employ this service for their own good and well being..howzzat!

Anyhow, this is amazing and another snatcher off the street.

We really need more quick action and arrest to happen.

I wouldn't feel any sympathy for the criminal if he had his hand cut off under Hudud law. I'm cocksure he'd never ever snatch again!

Actually, it is. There will be many more businesses jumping on the bandwagon in time to come. By year end, there will be many more eateries equipped with CCTV and armed guards!
