The Talk Anything About Everything Thread

Well, here it is. The thread all of you have been waiting for! Ok, I stand corrected. What prompted me to start this thread is the realization that we were hijacking Tupai's thread on chicken rice. Pork balls came into the picture; parking issues (could be relevant though), cycling in Subang Jaya, etc when in fact the thread is about "kai-fan", nothing but "kai-fan".

Feel free to say anything about everything in here without worrying if you're hijacking the thread because you are not simply because you can't! (Rules of the forum still apply!) Isn't that wonderful?

Let me begin. Riding on a bicycle in SS15 is dangerous. I would rather not do it. Ok, your turn!

Actually riding on public roads is dangerous anywhere because of the inconsiderate motorists and also because there is no dedicated bicycle lane makes it all the more risky.

Since we are at it, what do you all think of our pee ems wife calling for kids at the homes to be given croissants. A bit like marie antoinette asking that the peasants go eat cake if they do not have bread to eat right. Feed them two proper nutritious meals ala malaysian meals with one meat/one vege and some kuah with generous helpings of steaming hot rice and give them an apple to go with it will be sufficient. Taking care of the basics instead of the frivilous stuff to me is more important.

A friend was posted to mongolia for an accounting assignment. He was given two big bottles of water which was supposed to last him the two weeks he was there. Those water dispenser type which was already a big luxury over there. When he goes to the outdoor toilet which was full of flying insects, he had to take 3 cigarettes in his month and puff like mad in the toilet to drive off the smell and the flies. And also trying not to take any breadths in the toilet and running out as fast as he can once business is done.

Bro, are you referring only to those in mongolia oil rig ??

Oil rig regardless of jack-up platform, semi-submersible rig and submersible rig are all run like a hotel.

There is room-cleaning service daily and shower facilities in the rig. However, during my time, almost all shower cubicles were without door !!

As operations of E&P is run non-stop, food is 24/7 ready and there is more food available during breakfast, lunch and dinner.

You can eat and shower as many times as you like ..

I think my friend was somewhere near the capital. Definitely not on the rig cos he told me the toilet was just a hole in the sand with a cubicle!

I was once in China having dinner at a restaurant. Forgot its name. I was totally caught by surprise when a Chinese-speaking announcer screamed into the mic "Showtime!" or words to that effect. It was a dance show. The dancers were tall, shapely, sexy and looked like super models! What grace and showmanship. They had super smooth skin too if you have to know. Later we found out that they were Mongolians. They were every inch as pretty as that other Mongolian girl. .

Haha, they maybe “fake mongolian” ..(everything can be faked in PRC !! )

In my little experience in the mainland, I would say the Manchurian are pretty. They have brown eyes, moderately sharp facial features, balanced anatomy and beautiful skin.. but this is not best part.

The best part is I don’t know what they speak… make me feel like I am in a foreign country !

ps. I also cannot understand when Shanghaies speak .. but I wouldn't want to know as Shanghaies are snobbish and noisy..

Let’s change to other Mongolia topic for today … mongolia mama and the carpet man !!

I was puzzled for the past many weeks why a carpet man kept on appearing on local media (papers and electronic) and he seems like the new media darling nowadays..

One day he would say he wanted to write a book about mongolia mama and her jewelry…another day he would say he wanted to upload info to Internet about the secret to build a pseudo-submarine… etc., etc.

As a result, main stream media is interested on him because their bosses wanted them to keep an eye on him. Opposition media is interested on him because they expect the carpet man can contribute some shits as weapons for the coming GE..!!

Now, the truth is out… and the carpet man is one hell of brilliant guy.

Here are the interesting truths :

    1. The carpet man is a business partner of someone and the someone has a “privatized’ project awarded by the department which take care of many things including pseudo-submarine, phantom fighter jet (figher jet with no engine), etc.

    2. The business relationship turned sour for reasons they know best and the carpet man is mad.

    3. Because carpet man knows a lot of shits and he seems like he is going to throw shits.. As a result, someone (yes, someone again) is willing to pay 130 million to buy over the company that he joint-own with the previous someone… and he is paid 30 million to let go his ownership in this company.

Well, the “moral” of the story is – carpet business is the real thing nowadays... not gold hedging (kuma, pease take note), or coal mining (SM, hope you trade carpet now instead of coal)...
