KK Supermart robbed 671 times in five years

"Contrary to the police's claim that the crime rate in the country has gone down, a 24-hour convenience store chain has said its branches nationwide have been robbed and their goods stolen 671 times in the past five years, incurring a total loss of over RM1 million" .............

They held a press conference yesterday in Kuala Lumpur to reveal the shocking statistics. saying "on average there were 134 cases every year and 11 cases every month since 2008"........."Out of these cases, the police only managed to arrest the perpetrators in 30 cases"........."20 staff members were hurt in the past five years"

"The 'hot spots' identified by the company include Wangsa Maju, Jalan Ipoh, Bandar Tun Razak, Puchong and Serdang as top the list after being robbed over 20 times within the past two months"

    Source: Yahoo News

Holy S@!^.......This is some scary bit of News, Man

To him its not robbery but a sharing of wealth with the have nots so it is not classified as a robbery.

There have been a spate of robberies in KK recently. At the KK forum, they were relating their experiences. These happened in the last few days:

"Another robbery just outside Subway, yesterday about noon. Men with parang snatched the handbag of an Indian lady with 2 children. Everything in her handbag including car key was snatched. Not sure what happened after that, hope she could get her car back home safely. One man in Subway left to drive her back to take her spare keys so that she can drive her car back. *sigh*"

"My account girl just being robbed after she come out from MBB Kota Kemuning around 1130hrs today. That's a car ahead of her at the Mc'D junction turning out to the main road and it takes longer time than usual follow up with bike with two riders get close to her and smash the passenger side window speeding away with her handbag placed on the seat. Lucky she not hurt and only minor scratches on her hand cause by the broken glass."

" I witnessed another snatch thief, same modus operandi a few weeks ago. Infront of Mc D, a motorcyclist snatched a handbag out of a green avanza car while this car was waiting at the junction to turn left into the main road. Could be the same ppl. Be careful esp when coming out from the bank."

HELLO.... your link is dated OCTOBER 13th 2012.... so where is it that is related to "JUST HAPPENED" (or you were referring to "just happened 3 months ago?"

Please la... linking a crime report like this would definately increase our awareness, for some... but for others, it would also likely to increase their paranoia...

I feel the same way and if he is injured, that is fine. But if he is killed, can we be charged for manslaughter?

    .
How about this for today's news ? It seems that our police are not as efficient as we think they are.

Just to clarify....my post 'KK Supermart robbed 671 times in five years', was in reference to the PC done by the management of 'KK Supermart' who run 127 KK convenience stores around the country.....not to KK as in Kota Kemuning or Kota Kinabalu

    This KK...

I suppose the headline could have been misleading, but then again, anyone who clicked the link to the Yahoo News report would have known that, but yet again, .....we would like to know about robberies in Kota Kemuning too ......that's where I got robbed 7 years ago at the McD late one night.....a gang of 5 came in and robbed the outlet and patrons too after midnight.....had a parang on the back of my neck for a scary 5 mins or so.

Even if you are not charged because of being a samaritan, I doubt you will do it. Malaysians won't risk their ass for others, at least most of them don't anyway.... Did you make a report to the cops since you witnessed both the incidents? Or you forgot to look at the registration number hahahaha....

There's another case of a royal house being burgled in section 16. 2 million ringgit loss. It appears that they too are not invincible after all.

Could be just your avr that is giving problems. Normally sub woofers can take anything thrown at them. Could have been a surge from a lightning strike. I had my quad struck once. And the strike may be occuring elsewhere , even though there may be no lightning or thunder in your area. Cheers.
