Whatever happen if you are some sort of a martial art practitioner, your senses helps you alot.If you are in the street,it's call street fighting aka lan chai kow.A lot of parents ask me " black belt can fight ah ? I usually answer them " do you dare ?" . A couple of yrs ago, a 5 dan TKD man was slash by 2 guys in the street of klang lama,if you ask why he can't handle them...they hold parang, all you can do is to avoid .BTW he was badly slash.

Actually fighting is depending on how badly you want to hurt the other fella. If you think of the consequences you will never win. Only people who do not think of the consequences will win a fight if they are about even in abilities. The question of weapons would upset the equation somewhat. If both sides are not trained martial artists the one most 'lorng' will win. When in a fight one will not feel very much pain as the andrenalin takes over the fear and pain. I used to have a few long knives in my house but when you have 3/4 fellas standing o over you with parangs in their hands and i have nothng, then there is no fight, no need to fight. Sure lose.

Forget it..too violent. Better pack a 9mm Glock can give 9 deadly projectiles.

Would you just walk away and let the parang-wielding robbers take your laptop or fight?

Since I've not learnt kungfu I don't think I'd want to risk my life fighting these scums. But if I had a gun, I'd open fire but not to kill, though. Just to disable them by shooting them in the legs. Then keep an eye on them over a cup of iced coffee until the police arrive. Ok, I've been watching too many Hollywood movies!

I doubt in a situation like this you will be able to aim for the legs. The easiest and biggest part of the body will become the target. You must remember that we are not James Bond. Another thing to remember is that these people are not afraid to die. it's either you or him. So a warning shot into the air, next would be body shots if he charges at you.

Better still, get an extended magazine.. That way, you won't die if there are 10 of them!

In reality, it is best to keep ur glock out of sight if ur outnumbered. If u choose to use it, make sure the number of rounds available is twice the number of assailants (glocks have terrible aim, ESP when you use the extended magazine). Once u take it out, u have about 50% chance of survival. If u keep it hidden, u have 100% chance of survival, but u may get bashed up a bit and lose all ur valuables. Tough choice, huh?

In a situation, here is the best sequence of events..
Take out ur gun if ur prepared for a showdown
If he sees ur gun and runs away, keep it back, and wipe the sweat off ur brow
If he doesnt run away, throw ur gun away, and run like hell.. U may still make it back to post ur story here!

Either I am holding the Magnum or Paintball gun, I tell the Mac Rempit " Do you feel lucky, Punk?" just like Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry.
