Snatch Theft In Broad Daylight - USJ18 Shell Petrol Station!!

Guys - wanna give all a heads up of what had happened to me today..

Sent my car for a wash this afternoon at 1pm - while there, heard a bunch of cubchais revving behind me... when suddenly I get whacked/punched in the back of my head while the SONOFAB**** grabs my gold chain and bolts... I gave chase and just about 2-3 feet from him, he turns around and tries to PEPPER SPRAYS me !! Avoiding the cloud of pepper spray, now fuming mad - I tried to intercept them across the patch of grass before they hit the main road... when the rider takes out a freaking MACHETE (parang!) Then I realise the others too were reaching for their bags/pouches for (weapons?)... No choice - I backed off - noticing that the damn cars on the main street ACTUALLY GAVE WAY for these BAST***DS to escape.....

Just to recap - they were in a GROUP of 8 fellas (5 riders + 3 pillions) on 5 Yamaha & Kawasaki cubchai motorcycles.... all wearing helmets and with biker gloves. ALL the bikes had their rear number plates broken off or damaged.

So if you HEAR bikers revving behind you in or around petrol stations - just be on the ALERT.... I AM NOW ON THE LOOKOUT for these punks as they were so brazen and had their faces exposed... INCLUDING the BAST**D that punched me in the head... According to the staff at the Shell petrol station - this has HAPPENED numerous times... I am like... WTF! if happened so many times, why isn't there any warnings or notices put up... requested to see the CCTV recordings but the staff said KENOT... becos KENOT see anything!

Made the police report to make sure that the cops knows what happens.... and guess what ~ at 5pm the Lans Koperal on duty tell me that TODAY alone - already got 5 reports on snatch theft robberies in the area.... there was a scrap metal collector that was getting down from his lorry, was also robbed - the bikers threw curry powder in his face and grabbed his waist pouch (lost RM2500+ with phone and docs...)

Many thanks to the Lance Koperal (M.Arif) for taking the time to attend to my police report and for his professional conduct in handling that Indian national whom was struggling to file his report too...

    So just be aware ya...

    Sorry to hear that.

The staff at shell and also the "police" already knew that it is a regular occurence at the place. This begs the question why they are not doing anything about it? It doesnt require a sherlock holmes to do some investigative or stakeout work to catch those bastards. It is just pure apathy and laziness from the so-called "police" taking gaji buta or doing their favourite pastimes like setting roadblocks or bashing people wearing yellow.

My bro was also snatched his gold chain in subang area twice and made police reports. Also told by the "police" that it is a favourite spot by the same gang of 2 malay bastards thieves who prey on all and sundry. If they know this info, why are they not doing anything about it??!!! It is precisely this apathy and pure incompetence that made these bastards thieves coming back again and again and again...

Sorry to hear that. Thanks for informing. May be we should boycott the petrol station since they knew things like this happened yet they make no effort to get the cctv in working order.

As for polices' response to such cases, ...

May be a solution for better safety now is to ask for more rela members to be on duty.

My apologies - on review of what was told at the polis station, the lans koperal said there were 5 reports (including mine) made with regards to snatch theft in USJ... NOT IN THE AREA as at the Shell station USJ18 ONLY. The Indian national/lorry driver got robbed at USJ21 Petronas.. the other incidents were elsewhere in USJ

Btw - the BAS***D did look like a Malay but then again I too, look like a Malay although I am a Chinese - so lets not jump to conclusions that these criminals were Malays. Even the cop asked me if they were Malay and I said they were youths (period.)

Hey Al, glad you are OK... that's all I care!

When you do see the basta** on the road, ram him down, no point talking to the cops...

If you are on Twitter, do send a twit to the lambchop-loving home minister at his Twitter address @HishammuddinH2O and eff him properly and c.c. @PDRMsia - at least 300,000 people will read, that I know!

Good to know that you got a thick skull and those petty muggers dont know that. Parang hidden away on cubchai is pretty common. Ye only have to be alert and will notice it whenever at petrol station.

You reminded me of an incident last year. I was buying car spare parts at SS15, near the Eon/Hong Leong Bank. While waiting for my wife who had gone into the bank , I saw a group of men looking down the T-junction, standing in front of the spare parts shop. I asked one of them what they are looking at. They told me that they were watching 2 bikes who were following a women carrying a hand bag. They were anticipating the 2 Malay boys to snatch her bag. Apparently it was quite common there. I watched that 2 bikes following that lady and as they went near her, she suddenly turned right away from them - innocuous of what could have happened. With the opportunity gone, the 2 bikes swung around and targeted another lady who was ready to enter her Kancil. They stopped behind the Kancil while the lady fumbled for her keys. One of them got down and peeped into the car. Apparently he saw nothing of interest and both went off somewhere else. That Kancil lady was oblivious to the fact that there were 2 bikes behind her car and a fella peeping into her car. It was quite amazing watching the whole event even though nothing happened. But I sensed the group was ready to attack if the 2 bikes come their way after committing their crime. I always wonder if the group attack, will I join them? Or should I?

Btw, my daughter's bag was snatched in SS14 and my wife robbed with a knife at her throat in SS14 too. So, we were victims of crime too. I guess, given the opportunity, I may join to land a blow or 2.

Very sorry to hear about this and morever in USJ or quite near to my place. Its a horrific prospect and this gahmen keep deluding people that crimes are down or not much to worry about.
Its clear to me in this era, every public area is now getting risky and open to some criminal activity. If hauling an ATM machine out of a bank is daring or bold enough, one can think anything else is a possibility. As I've mentioned numerous times before, we rakyat have to live by our wits in daily lives and be alert always, now with more caution not to expose any valuables whether it be gold chains, bangles, rings or expensive watches. Even driving your car around with all windows up, doors locked also open to some road criminal with devious methods to get at you. We're in desperate and scary times. What was unthinkable not too long ago is now very real. PDRM will only do so much.

usj27, you sure got a damn hard skull and damn lucky. One of customers at Subang by the name of Jack was whacked by two mat rempit and he tried to fight back. His partner banged my door for help where I rushed out with my cleaves. The two punks froze when they saw me. Instead of challenging them, I slammed the iron door as I noticed about 6 to 8 others were waiting beside the Shell Station! One thing I learnt from street fighting skills, always look around and turn around when the odds are against me. And I told Jack, - I just save your life and you are just Jack....not Jacky Chan!

What I am trying to say is that those robbers came prepared with parangs, spray peppers and possibly more weapons and guys behind them. If caught in the situation, try running instead. Dun try to be a hero or hot headed. The odds are against you unless you have a Magnum.45 on hand and say cooly like Clint Eastwood " Go ahead, punk. Make my day.

The same happened to me on march 2011 near KLCC area.

I saw the guy's face who was smiling at me when I walked towards KLCC.

Suddenly, his accomplice snatched my gold chain when they sped by me.
It happened so fast that I couldn't react. Couldn't get their motorbike number plate.

Reported to police and after more than 1.5 years, nothing was done to arrest them.
Everytime I want to meet police inspector and ask the status, they have lots of excuses and they never call back.

I am sure this is not the first time it happened because the thieves were so quick and adept.

If you rely on police to catch them, I think it will take more than 10 years or forever.

Don't fight them directly, just follow them secretly to their hide out and let police take care.
There must be a gang of them who are dangerous and it's NOT wise to lose your life over them.
