How to Get "Polis" Blue Box

Wonder if anyone know how to get the "Polis" blue post box. I have seen one row of houses have few of them. Do the owners pay for it?

I believe you need to be a big shot to qualify for one.

The blue box is for the patrol car to sign in, to indicate that they have passed through that area. By placing the blue box at various locations, the patrol cars are "forced" to cover these areas. The time of their signing in will show their patrol routines.

My brother in law's house used to have one and it is placed randomly. Nothing to do with connection or being VIP.

Aha, so it works something like the key to the watchman's clock.

That means, there's no way we could 'request', 'sign up', 'pay' to 'force' them patrol our place if there's no blue box at a particular area?

I think its only best to ask those who has knowledge in this area. Maybe, you should address this to Rajiv, he may be able to throw some light or go to police station for further query.

Instead of guessing and speculating, I reckon those very interested in this should enquire and get more accurate info about the subject at some Balai Polis.
These Police blue boxes have been around for as long as I can remember especially at VIP's or senior civil servant's residences in those days.
