wanna do a bit to feed 'em?

there is a pack of 13 black and white dogs (with a bigger than usual white male alpha wannabe) living as strays, on the large tract of empty land, at the GP class loop of jln kemajuan subang/SS16/1 (infront of Olive apartments?)...

A few kind animal lovers (donno who lah) have been feeding them (as seen by empty plates/tupperware/stylofoam) but methink its only occasionally.

Methink these abandoned dogs (prob by irresponsible owners at least 2-3yrs ago) then procreate and have grown to be a pack of 13 (at least 8totally black medium size highly likely mixed telomian or incorrecly known as pariahs (misnomer lah!)

Ok, back to the story...These strays (or Abans as i called 'em) would truly appreciate & w♥ff♪♫♥♥w♥♥f any kind soul/animal lover here who wanna do his/her bit? Just choose any day of the week and go feed them with food & water.

The food can be just plain rice cooked with 1-2kilos of chicken liver (Rm3/kg) and a wholeload of starys willbe happily lapping it all up..BTW, Abans dont fight over food and they all share from same tray/box/aper what have u on the ground.

betcha these Abans puasa a lot but they do live a lifestyle of the poor but free on a large tract of land to muck around lah

    p/s STILL kenot find?

Ok, U pass toyota main entrance on yr left, pass the bridge, pass the whatever badminton club on yr right, and Lo & behold! they usually group under the cluster of trees, directly opposite the golf driving range on ye right...

AND dont despair if you dont see them there. Bring a whistle and give a few hard blows...they will come running happily towards you from afar (?) . Yup they have been 'trained' to asociate the whistle blows to food & drinks

By the way, are those dogs choosy in eating ? Do they eat roti/buns ?

I remember last time I fed a cat some nasi lemak and it just walked away.

And isn't it dangerous to have 13 dogs come charging at a lone guy trying to feed them ? What if the same thing happened to a foreigner at a farm who died from the dog attack ?

If you really want, you can just wind down your window and throw the food into the open space. In the interest of the environment, please avoid using styrofoam boxes. Newspapers can be used to wrap the food.

However, I do feel some regret that this information was posted. Now that some dog-haters know about this, it won't be long before they are rounded up and put away.. sigh...

HAHHHAH! Strays are strays. Its their fate that they are what they are.

and its a question of time b4 development or dog-hater caught up with them...

now, would it be not be 'kinder' to, at least, give them some food&drinks and (if) they get caught/killed/tortured so be it BUT with a full belly? even a mass murderer gets a last meal before facing the hangman...no?

p/s they won't attack u lah. They wont come anywhere closer than 10m...Like i hv posted..they are strays but they share their food. Bring a whistle and blow hard if they are not anywhere in sight... they will respond to the whistle. its a joy to see them from faraway and come running and barking in anticipation of a liver flavored chup fun

Nobody answered my questions. Are the dogs choosy ? Must it be tasty food ? Can it be plain bread or plain rice ?

The dogs won't come near when people are still around. So I don't know whether they are choosy or not.
I saw about 8 when I was there around 1pm.

I put the food under the tree, then walked back to my car and watched them from about 50meters away.
They did come for the food.

just meters before the cluster of trees, you can see a few big cement slabs on the ground. These slabs are the regular dining tables for the strays. The large broken piece of stylofoam (methink, it used to be a cover for a box ) can be a giant serving platter for the liver-flavored rice...and the surrounding various discarded trays, can also be used to spread the food around...

I counted 9strays yesterday...also saw 1 skinny doggy across the road at the egress of olive apartment. May be a few of 'em moved there??

Have any of you heard of AnimalCare? Its founded by our own Subangite Dr. Chan Kah Yein. (She's a maths doctor NOT a vet). Here's more info on her work on animals.

    http://myanimalcare.org/cnrm/

If everyone is agreeable, I am willing to chip in cash to pay for the neutering so that the stray colony there does not increase. Her organization only subsidises half of the vet fees.
