To be good in languages, interaction is important. It was best illustrated by Patrick Teoh where he excelled via Best Western cowboy to Romeo and Juliet movies and try to speak like one. One clueless teenage immigrant from China who could hardly speak one full sentence in English , was rapping away in American Hip Hop and telling jokes to Americans while serving Teppanyaki after just 1 year in the States. He was given the same advice by the Mean Olde Chef.

But if the idea to get good aid to do well in exam, IMHO tuition center is just like extended classroom. It didnt worked for my kids where the grades kept sliding down, no time to pursue thier hobbies and most of all wasting my time to fetch them up and blardy expensive.

Command of Bahasa is usually bad for those in Chinese Schools, but since my son can spend time in football where they are Malay players, his command of Bahasa is pretty good with the interaction.

There would be another session on how my son did it probably next week. His mother would be helping those parents to familiarize with the program how to check on kids progress via iPhone or iPad while he would be helping his fellow classmates how to do it.

I am not sure as the mum who gave me these contacts did not mention but I have pm-ed you the contacts all the same. Do give them a call and let me know too.

I am keeping these contacts in "reserve" in case my son needs BM tuition later should I "fail" to be able to guide him in Std 5-6. Personally, I hope never to use them !

how come standard 3 need tuition??

last time I am in SRJK(c) also can survive BM without getting whack by parents for bad result.

even my English teacher also told my mom to be glad if I can get C in UPSR.

I got A for all my languages to prove my teachers wrong.

That done, I was wondering, has anyone done a comparison between house tutoring and tuition centres? I mean, I would think hse tutoring, because of small nos., would be more effective but the tuition centres have lots of kids attending too.

Another thing, has anyone tried the new BM place called BM world in usj 1? They went around distributing leaflets when the school year started.
