All those officials are there to jaga their benefits from being officials. All the free travel , accomodation and meetings , free food and allowances to attend meetings to come up with idiotic rules to make a mockery of the sport.

I guess you (some) folks are getting too emotional in your reply and judgement. There is always a moral ethics in any game.

Maybe you have not watched the so said game; if so do watch it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mq1ioqiWEo

I'm pretty such if you were part of the audience; you would be shouting the hell out of them, as well.

Should sack the entire BWF committee including the President, not players.

If it is bad sportsmanship not to try your very best at EVERY stage of the competition, the IOC should also punish runners who ease off at the last 10 or 20m of the qualifying heats.

Personally, I think it is double standards especially sports that dominated by Asian. Many sportsmen and women involved in other sports, for example, boxing are also using similar tactics in order to save/preserve their stamina for the next round of contest. Many boxers just refused to box especially in the last round and when they are leading by a few points. Some just run around the ring, hold their opponent illegally, etc and yet these boxers are seldom punished with disqualification. This is also very common in World Cup and Olympics soccer matches. Once their objective is achieved, they pass the ball here & there just to waste time. Why no team got banned so far?
Saving stamina/time wasting is different story...
These players actually play to lose instead of just saving stamina...
Purposely score own goal to lose a football match... see if the team get ban or not...

Malaysia is assured of a medal - either Pisang Emas or Perak Mali in Datuk Lee Chong Wei. Incidentally He didnt complained about being injured or cold like the shooters.

Kudos to Datuk LCW! Its like All England final over again!
LCW have to double triple his craftiness and bang on huge luck to be on his side.
LD looks at his pinnacle and practically romped over Lee Hyun Il like he was some novice. LHY look no match for a far more crafty and a true champion. Both are possibly at their last fling at an Olympic gold!
Its like LCW have to face the biggest challenge of his entire career right now. Unfortunately against his biggest nemisis. Now or never again!

More and more calls for Malaysians to support Chong Wei!

I reckon this may put him under extreme pressure to win.. I suppose he's used to handling such pressure.
Ultimately up to him on the court experience and all out effort to win against his ultimate nemesis. Everyone can only stand and watch.
Again, luck and a very very cool head may be to his advantage to win this time. I noted his very cool headed play at his past All England win against LD was the key. Looking at LD's current form.. HUGE hurdle!

Even money on LCW and LD ... if anyone can beat LCW on his current form, it will be LD and vice versa .... Both are really head and shoulders above the rest ....

Based on what I PERCEIVED from body language, I believe Lin Dan will edge it .... I hope I am wrong coz it will be great for LCW to win it !!

Yup ... I just hope she DOES NOT JINX LCW .... the sight of her may make him lose all his "good luck" !! LCW got plenty of good charm in the game against Chen Long with a number of lucky net calls !!

After seeing how Chen Long lost to Chong Wei whereby his style of play is different from Lin Dan's and the fact that Chen Long gave away a lot of points by his own careless mistakes, I'd say that Chong Wei will have a very difficult time with Lin Dan. Altho' I'd like to see a Gold medal finally come our way, but reality prevails and Chong Wei is going to come home wilh a Silver again.
