    Homemade Kaya from Zinglicious.

Would be stirring some goodies where you can spread with your toast, buns or cream crackers with a healthy twist. The Kaya is enhanced with yogurt without artificial colors, flavorings or preservatives.

For those who are interested, kindly email - zinglicious@gmail.com for orders where I intend to distribute on Saturday at Subang right in front of KFC. The Hainanese bread of high quality as close as it can get from my bread supplier which blend well with my kaya jamhas heavy duty chunky flavor of natural ingredients, for real.

These are the pipeline of jamming projects where the Mean Olde Chef back in action would appreciate feedbacks from the forumers -i.e. taste, pricing and name from the jam he is cooking for real impressions -Healthy ,yet tasty.

    Whats the sugar content?
A lot of those commercial ones are just too sweet (perhaps oversweetened) for my liking. Nothing I can do except just don't buy any.
The sweetness of this particular product (possibly jams are similar issue) is likely quite subjective and personal preference matter. Not sweet enouugh isn't a good thing, too sweet oso bad..

    Zing,

How many days can your kaya keep ? What quantity are you selling ?

BTW, which KFC in Subang are you talking about ? There are 5 KFC as far as I know ... Subang Parade, Carrefour, USJ Summit, USJ Taipan (under renovation) and Petronas USJ21 (or is it USJ23) - so where will you be ?

As mentioned by Zing at Subang and not USJ. I think it shoulb be SS15 rather than Subang Parade or Carrefour.

AHA ... thank you, I FORGOT the SS15 outlet ....

I usually AVOID SS15 due to traffic jams and parking hassle, so not too familiar there ... my apologises

With some much outlets of KFC which I intended at SS15, I decided I should be awaiting for you guys at MCD SS15 right besides the Mosque.

Since it doesnt contains any preservatives, I recommend it to be stored in the fridge. It should last about a week in the fridge. Just ensure you use a dry spoon to scoop out the jam. The Zing Kaya would be made in the morning, packed at noon, to be sold at evening where it is done as fresh as it gets.

There is no minimum quantity but there is a maximum quantity as I am doing for the fun of it. Maybe later for the fund of it, I would be doing it large batch where I can sell the recipe for millions. Price for the kaya is at RM3.00 for similar tub size in the market. My consignment for usj forumers is about 33 tubs whereas the roti is about 30 sahaja.

I started doing it because the kaya in the market is too sweet and doesnt have the chunky heavy duty flavor like those olde Hainanese coffeeshop flavor.

Sugar is a binding agent for the kaya ingredients but had experimenting it less sugar to combine with other binding natural agents. In fact, I have done it sugarless except it looks ugly but taste satisfactory. So it is still in the R&D.

And for those who came up with the name - I would do it like Proton those days back when the guy won a Proton Saga with his winning entry. Therefore, the winning entry would get a tub of USJ - United States of Jam.

You read well......wiith two pair of blue eyes. I like to do it on the soonest Saturday, but have to consult direction of Fung Shui. Nevertheless, bear with the Mean Old Chef who is back with this new swing of Jam in action. Not only sudah ada order but got a forumer who presented me FREE online order form with brand new website.

I hope you can bear with me because I am trying to do it soonest possible but have jam issues to take care of ....from packaging to Fung Shui auspicious time to launch it.
